My house is like a bomb site!! Luckily we don't get many visitors. If someone called unexpectidly I would be mortified.. That's if they could even get in through the door!!!
I am now a little more motivated thanks to you guys on here. My problem is that I am totally unorganised. I really need to get myself into some sort of a routine. I find it really difficult as my OH works in a really stressful job and works stupid hours so he is not around to help out. When he is at home he is usually so worn out that he falls straight to sleep. I work three long days a week and have one DD to tkae care of. When I am not doing that I am trying to set up my own business so most of my spare time is spent packing up parcels ready to post. I am a hoarder too. I won't get rid of anything as I think to myself " I could get a couple of quid for that" but somehow they just sit in a pile which grows and grows and grows........ Now I have little piles of stuff everywhere. If it's not stock, it's clean washing or toys!! I just have to remember little and often, little and often. And more importantly... stay off the computer until I have done a job as a couple of minutes turns into a couple of hours!! I will get there one day.

The realisation that I will never have a tidy house whilst living with DH and DS has finally hit home.

They are out doing fun things and once again I am left like Cinderella but with no ball to go to  Does that make them the Ugly Sisters?

    DW and WM are on

    Downstairs has been hoovered

Kitchen needs another blitz but just staying on top of that as have 35 people here next weekend for DS' 18th party so will do a major clean after all the cooking is done and then again after all the guests are gone. Party is Mexican themed, so lots of chilli, fajitas, , quesadilla, rice and salad - it's a lot less hassle than a buffet.

Bathrooms are surviving with a quick swish each morning and evening.

Off now to do some more shopping for the party :beer:
  • Morning Messies - I intend to do commersial break cleaning today - the house needs gutting and the enormaty of it is enough to stop you even starting.
So there is hot water in the sink and the dishes are soaking, there is a washing in the machine and another to be done, their is bleach in the loo and spray on all the surfaces and there is a good film on the telly.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xxx

    Hi Gilly

I know this feeling, went to the hairdresser his morning, had a nice colour and cut, (my 3-4 monthly treat) then came home and have been housework every since.

Sometimes think it would be so nice to have something special to go to when I look and feel reasonable good about myslef but hey ho.

Hope all goes well for your party.

    Hi All

Came home last night after really busy week at work, cooked dinner, put WM , Emptied DW and was pooped so went to bed.

As I have just said to Gilly went to hairdressers this morning and have been busy since I got back. Bathroom took an age to clean (not helped by STBEXOH soon to be ex OH) never clearing up after himself:mad:. Have read Gillly's post re bathroom and must try to keep on top of things.

Next on my list, after a nice coffee is to wash my car. Where I park there are trees and the sap falls on it every day, not good for the paint work.

Have a good weekend all, tommorow is cook off day before going back to work on Monday.

    love NRA xx

This Cinderella decided to be sinful and has just splashed out on a pedicure using OH's credit card :rotfl:

Now back at the grindstone whilst the Ugly Sisters are still playing

Peeing down here most of the day too, but has stopped for a while so I popped out the washing. Oh well if it starts again I suppose it will get an extra washing:p.

I really should start deep cleaning the house, all the surfaces are covered in clutter and the bedroom......oh the bedroom:eek::eek::eek:. Also a neighbour popped in the see the baby and I made her stay in the hall because of the mess. I fell ashamed now.

I think I may go and have a blast for a hour then come back on her to report any progress made. Shame myself into it.

    See you all later.

Afternoon all, sorry I feel a bit of a moan coming on.

Have spent all day so far today sorting stuff out to go to a car boot sale tomorrow. I also spent most of last Saturday doing the same. The money we make is going to be spending money for our holiday in August. Is anyone else helping me? No they are not. They are either playing on the XBox, out with friends or watching telly.

This is such hard work - I feel like throwing it all in a skip at the moment. I am going to be gutted if we dont sell much. To be fair youngest son has been helping me a bit but no-one else seems to be noticing the improvements I am making around the house with all my decluttering.

:( Oh well best get the washing hung out, doesnt look like anyone else would notice the washing machine is full of wet washing.

No one notices any difference here either Yorkshirelass.:mad::mad: Perhaps we should start dishing out jobs and then others may appreciate the work being done.

Good luck with the car boot. Could do with doing one myself but CBA.
