My home is a mess

Afternoon all - well haven't done much housework wise, and am just building myself up to decluttering my study again (as long as I can get to the computer I've been ignoring the accumulating mess, but it needs to be done).
Set up the incubator, and once the temperature and humidity were stable put the eggs in on Thursday, so in 3 weeks will hopefully have chicks (have everything crossed as this is the first time I've tried this for years).
Am I the only messy that likes spiders???:) although I'm the only one in the house who does. They have really sweet little faces, and several different kinds of eyes. I have a large one living in the corner of my study called Charlie (no it's not just an excuse for not dusting).0 -
RIght, I've got an hour to tidy up before we get decended on by teenagers for a sleepover. DD is telling me they won't even notice and i know that by I will.
See you on the other side...I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -

No letter to tell us just stopped the payment - we only found out cos I checked the account and we were overdrawn on the overdraft!! Mercy dash to bank to transfer some money from the savings acc into the main acc, the savings acc has been seriously depleted recently cos of various probs so now we don't even have that to fall back on - !!!!!! times ahead for us

I am so sorry to hear this, its devastating isnt it? ours were stopped too and its a huge shortfall to pick upwe had a letter a few weeks ago saying they were being stopped and i had a form giving details of 2009/10 then the other day i had a form about 2011. they seem to be spending an awful lot on paperwork
you will need to be even more MSE, but if anyone can do it MSErs can0 -
Hi everyone
Not sure where the day has gone but not done anything housework wiseunless you count my usual load of washing that is still sitting in the wash basket
I went to meet a fellow MSEer today so had a nice couple of hours out
I came back to a sink full of washing up
Parsnipyou should not be running around doing loads of HW you have a beautiful son to care for, you will have to start with him early and make sure he cleans up after himself when he is older :rotfl:
Soupdragonthe only good thing about spiders is if they make webbs in the house you save them and throw glitter on them, instant xmas dec's :rotfl::rotfl:
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

We didn't even get a bloomin letter - they just stopped it!!! I noticed cos I checked online, the bank account, and it wasn't there - I had been shopping and spent money that we didn't have so that put us in the doo doo. Thanks for the comment :A and I quite agree that if anyone can we can - if it wasn't for this site many a Xmas would of been awful and its given me a completely different way of looking at how we spend our money and on what!! We don't buy anything unless I've been on here and then scoured the internet for discount codes/free delivery etc lol :T
Onwards and upwards :rotfl:
The DW space has been given over to shelves [DH has done them using wood we had in the garage]so I'm now filling them with items that had no home - we have a fairly big kitchen but because of the way it was badly designed and a floor to ceiling window there isn't alot of storage space but we're getting there also freecycled a freezer we had in the garage so thats now gone and the small amount of food that was left in it has been gently put in the other freezer - picture me laying on my back and forcing food in with my feet!! Thats how much of a tight fit it is but its another item not using leccy!! :j
Catch you later
Helen x
PS Parsniphead - how is that lovely babe of your doingProjects made for craft fair - 40
1st fair on 13/4/14 :j0 -
Sooo....again not got anything done today! Though I did do my first proper volunteering day at the greyhound shelter, and made a big fuss of my beautiful boy
He's so sweet, apparently he was a wreck when he came in, loaded with fleas and hardly any fur, infected sores all over the place. But he's come on so well, and is still so patient when he could have turned aggressive and nasty
ANYWAY, I'm going to sort my Avon out tomorrow, and try to clear some clutter out at Mum's. I've almost done one week of healthy eating, weirdly I'm quite looking forward to weighing myself. So I'll do that there (hey, I'm decluttering my fat) and clear the bureau in the 3rd bedroom, it must be full of carp!
Well done to everyone that's achieved something today, and kicks up the bum to those that need it(can someone give me one? I think I'll sprain something trying to give myself one!)
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time0 -
Have now dealt with most of the study clutter - large pile of filing, but more has gone out in bin bag or recycling than remains thankfully.
Love the idea of glittery webs - should I make tiny baubles and streamers for Charlie too? Having spent 2 terms doing a project on the spiders in a nature reserve I don't worry about them.... wasps now they are REALLY scary and I run a mile. Probably about the only British wildlife I am really worried by.
My turn to cook dinner - found a few broad beans in the garden, so will cook them with potatoes and home made quiche (which I've yet to make). Is there a quiche fairy who might do this for me???? no tinkly fairy noises so think it's down to me....
Have a lovely evening everyone, and remember messies only do things in baby steps - giant leaps means you must be a closet flylady.0 -

I didn't get anything done anyway apart from one load of washing done and put out. DH is really good to be honest, he does all the vacuuming and polishing but never notices when I do have a housework blast which drives me mad. The little one will definately be trained early how to do things for himself. It's important he knows how to look after himself when he's older, an important skill in my opinion. Mind you I think he has his mums messy gene (always covered in milk, etc).:rotfl:So I'm thinking practical but untidy.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Not done much as I got up late having gone to bed at dawn browsing ebay. Sorted out some more bags for charity shop. As they have been stored the clothes will need ironing but Im afraid the charity shop will have to do that as I hate ironing. They are washed though.
In the middle of washing and I did the dishes.
Parsnip slow down your still early days yet and need rest.
I know about the lazy sods who watch you do all the work Iv got a couple of them. Oh had the cheek to look around the kitchen and said it needed decluttering. He then walked away and sat on his backside all day.0 -

my OH sits on his butt all wkend and moans he's worked hard all week, he works in an offfice
