I had a lazy day...again! It's becoming a habit. I feel myself slipping. I'll really have to stop wallowing in self pity and get back into the groove. I did go out on my own, first time in a week and shopped. I was tired but not exhausted and it helped lift my mood. I was disappointed in my haircut ( I just looked like me with shorter hair!) After dying it tomorrow it might look better.
Last week, before I got the awful diagnosis, I was much better at keeping things in hand. OH is depressed too (I am always the strong one because I have to be ) so we are not good at giving each other a lift now. It annoys me that people say I'm strong as if its easy for me. It's as hard for me as anyone else. Why is someone as weak as me the strongest person I know?

Well i have been a lazy mare again today. My son came home today but has to rest and not carry anything for at least a month and has to be careful not to overdo things especially going up and down stairs.

Do you think dusting would count as gentle excersice for him? lol

OOOOOh i hate spiders too. I hate birds and mice more but i don't like spiders either.

On the plus side i have spent about 2 days sorting through card making and cross stitch mags and filled my blue wheelie bin . lol just got all the other stuff to sort now. I'm in pain with my knees at the moment so it's a struggle but i'm determined to dose up on painkillers if necessary to get stuff done.

The dreaded ironing pile will be screaming to me tomorrow for only the second time since my fingers started to feel better.

Mary if anyone is entitled to wallow in self pity its you. Its okay to feel upset. You are strong and not weak but you remember that its not a weakness to ask for others to help. Now Iv told you off be nice to yourself.:p

Iv mopped the kitchen floor. I could make another animal out of all the fur Iv picked up. Talking about animals I bent down to pick up what I thought was more cat fur only to find a dead mouse. It looked as if it had been sucked to death.
All washing has been put away that was in a moutain on the countertop.
I managed to dye my pink towels purple after putting them in with an indian cotton rug, Look nice though.:o
well Im going to bed soon or Ill be here till dawn again.

Snooky, thanks. Our kitchen floor hasn;t been mopped for a fortnight, just brushed and the odd stain wiped up. Luckily we have no pets. I will get the mop bucket out today,(although it will have to be cleaed out of spiders and other muck first) and pretend I'm going to do it. OH will be annoyed because that means he will have no choice but to do it for me. I bet he reckons it doesn't need doing!

    Hi

Last shift in the restaurant last night YAY I will miss the money though. The baby has dropped really low and I am only 34 weeks - I think he may come early?

The girls tidied the lounge for me yesterday but only because they felt guilty for being naughty. My daughter was the carnival queen in the afternoon. They are currently having a massive row over the oldest one's Nintendo DS

Shattered today but kitchen needs cleaning and washing needs doing - we were supposed to be having a heatwave but its horrible drizzle for us.

I need to do some food shopping - lunches for the girls but no money until Tuedsay.

Hi, Would like to join this thread. My home is a mess and trying to get rid of alot of stuff I dont need.
I dont get out much as I look afer my OH as he has had a nervous breakdown, and doesnt leave the house unless someone is with him.
I put alot of things on ebay last weekend, as it was free and sold 6 items. so I am going to keep that up and sell as much as I can.
I start the day with good intentions, then it all goes out the window. So nice to know I am not on my own.
Have WM on, annd I am off to do the breakfast dishes and tidy the kitchen.

    Welcome Dee and morning messies

PS Parsniphead - how is that lovely babe of your doing

He is doing ok except for feeding. He refuses to breast feed so I have to keep extracting which causes more washing up:eek:. Awkward little devil.

Parsnip slow down your still early days yet and need rest.
I know about the lazy sods who watch you do all the work Iv got a couple of them. Oh had the cheek to look around the kitchen and said it needed decluttering. He then walked away and sat on his backside all day.

Will try but I'm a terrible fidget Snookey. Perhaps some sewing or knitting this afternoon. Erm how did you not dump the kitchen clutter on top of his head. You must be very nice and even tempered. I would have gone ballistic.

Parsnip the thought did cross my mind but the clutter would have just been moved to another place and still left, mind you he would have had to climb out and give himself some exercise ,lol.
Not sure of what Im going to tackle today. My dd was told off yesterday for making a mess and not clearing it up . Seems the messy gene has been passed on. Im determined this year not to buy her a lot of things at Christmas as they end up as clutter. Ds is older now so it cost more but its usually one or two items.
Parsnip I know what you mean about the dodgy hug!

Snookey - you were reading my mind about Xmas - mine are getting none of the carpy stuff they got last year and I'm setting them a limit of how much will be spent - they can choose to go just over that amount knowing they won't get everything but not really knowing what they will get from the list - hope that makes sense

    Parsnip - typical little man!!!

Made lots more mess today - A roof tile fell off last night, luckily it didn't break but a bit of a performance getting it back on the roof, DH is making shelving for the built in wardrobe in our room, DS is gaming, DD has gone to Nana for the day and I'm trying to get washing done

Honestly we've had a right couple of weeks what with 1 thing and another so I'm hoping this coming week will be alot better but I have lots of BIG home jobs to do - decorate DD's room, rearrange kitchen, sort out our room and other bits so I'm praying for no more catastrophes in our little world for the fore-seeable future!!!

Also been shoe shopping for school shoes for DD - ended up in Priceless shoes and they have an offer on some shoes = 1 pair = £13, 2 pairs = £15 so got her school ones and some summer ones

    Gotta go now

    Love and hugs to all

    Helen

PS - Mary take care of yourself
Candygirl - naughty woman for last night hehe
