Afternoon everyone, OK I am going to make a confession here. I have finally (after doing lots of talking about it) moved the fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. One of the reasons I hate doing this is because we get loads of spiders in our utility room and I hate cobwebs. How pathetic is that.

I found a sock, a glove, some golf tees, some clothes pegs, a pencil and lots and lots of dust as well as 2 spiders and the dreaded cobwebs. Oh and a receipt from erm... 29th September 2010

I do clean the utility room - and sweep and mop as far under the appliances as I can get but its really hard to move them - and I did struggle a bit to get the fridge freezer back. I have cleaned the window, and even cleaned the spotlights. Feeling really pleased with myself now, if a bit grubby!!

Right, lots more to do and need to get my son off to swimming so best get on with it!

Hope everyone has had a good Friday.

Well done :T but moveing appliances is risky as Helen will tell you :rotfl: I hate spiders so not sure if I could do it knowing they were lurking there
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Spiders? Apparently they hate lemon, so if you get some lemon oil and wipe a solution of it on the walls/paintwork etc it keeps them away - I've had a go and it seems to be working in the bathroom so far! :rotfl:

Just got in from work and immediately done the bathroom - which is soooo much easier to clean since I've used the squeegee on the bath tiles every day - and it now looks immaculate. Just going to wipe the bathroom/lobby/kitchen floors over while DH is out with doggy, so they can mess it up when they get back!

Sheets have been drying on the line all day but will iron them tomorrow when all the clothes are washed and line dried (weather permitting!) so washing is my job for tonight. Plus a bit of tidying/dusting in the living room and our bedroom - got to keep it tidy now I've started.

Hope everyone else has had a productive day and is looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend.

I will give the lemon oil a try Sagaris :D thank you :D

I have now been using my squeegee every morning on my shower (had it for 2 years and not realy used it that much :o) and I also wipe the walls down with a micro fibre cloth so after my shower every morning I stand in the shower wipeing the walls and door down so it is much easier to keep it clean :D
We dont have a bath as the bathroom is tiny we put a walk in shower in instead and tiled the whole room as it was supposed to be easier to clean but last time it took over 2 hrs to clean the room hence doing it every morning now :D

Im now off to work so will drop by again later :)

Evening Messies/Hello new messies/ Glad to see some old messies returning.:j

Roll on the dryer weather returning, my wasdhing mountain is expanding excessively daily.

Sagaris, thanks for the lemon tip. My DH is terrified of them and I spend most of my time trying to catch them before he throws stuff at them and splatters them. I will definately be giving it a go.

I have decided to get some more stuff on ebay just to declutter a bit more. Also I want to make some bits for my mums stall at the local summer fayre on the park. Will reduce the fabric stash a little and hopefully bring in a few pennies.

I really need to start getting into some sort of routine as I have slipped since finishing work.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Been lovely and dry here today until around 7.30 when it bucketed down. I had my oh putting a new fence up across the garden.

Not done a lot just kept on top of the washing. My youngest had a heart op this morning so we've been doing hospital trips for tests etc for the last few days.

Hopefully I'll be getting stuff done soon. I am still gradually sorting through all my craft stuff a bit at a time. I'll be thrilled when that jobs done.

Craftygranny - hope your son is feeling ok after op, and you too. It's awful when a child (and I don't care how old he is) is ill.
Sagaris - thanks for the lemon oil tip. Even though I go all quivery when I see a monster spider, I can't kill them, but, coward that I am, I run away!! Can't do that whilst I still have the awful room to sort out, but I'm getting there. I have really done a lot today, just had a wee nap before watching Emmerdale!! Am still throwing out things I thought I couldn't live without. What a numpty I am!

Must go to bed now, though, as my eyes are closing.....zzzzzzzzzz:D

I have visitors with a baby coming to stay in a few days so I must start moving everything up a level. First step is hiding my medication. One tablet would kill an adult let alone a child. I will also have to hoover the floor well iin case one has dropped. I'll do it today. I've been a splodge for the past few days so I must buck myself up and stop wallowing. Being busy makes me feel better. A haircut is booked for today followed hopefully by dying my own hair ( A job I hate doing hence the state it's in!. Gok- eat your heart out!
