You don't have many currys then! Lol
But, yes thanks for that, I'd actually seen the same thing from the same place!
    Great minds eh?
    Good firm to deal with?

Oh yes, we like currys in our house :rotfl:

This company are very good to deal with, ordered with next day delivery for an extra £10 and got a 4 hour delivery window free. Got txt that night telling me between which times it would be delivered and then a phone call an hour before. Excellent service and good prices too!

Thanks, current and ongoing experiences with Hotpoint on their Maintenance contract have affected my confidence that a dishwasher can perform that well, but from all the different people's responses here, looks like we are in for a pleasant surprise!

A question moonrakerz, and all the others who've had no probs with their Bosch dishwashers, ours does a full wash at least once, sometimes twice a day, how often is yours used, if you don't mind me asking please?

Every one seams to have a downer on Smeg. I moved into a new build house that is about 4 years old, that had an inbuilt Smeg dishwasher.

I use it everyday at the end of the day to do all the dishes for that day.

To my knowledge it had not broken down before I had moved in, and seams absolutely fine as dishwashers go.

Though to be honest I did put myself out of the job when we moved as we never had a dishwasher, so I was the dishwasher:rotfl:

That said I have have a Stoves oven and that is total c***p:mad:

Just go for the cheapest Miele dishwasher which cleans just as well as the more expensive models but comes without the bells and whistles.
The G1022 can be bought for £467 after discount:

    Wow, so much disinformation.

Smeg dishwashers aren't actually that bad. Overpriced, yes, but bad... no.

Bosch, Neff and Siemens are all the same company, BSH Group.

Miele are just, well Miele really. Fine and good when working but deliriously expensive when they break to get fixed. And you're held to ransom by Miele as pretty much nobody else will want to know about it.

Apart from that, you get ripped off with all these service plans that pretend to be an insurance, when they're not. Best not take them up on that offer as the odds are stacked in the company's favour, not yours.

Tend to agree about service plans kwatt, with all parts replaced on our Hotpoint, we've had our money's worth out of them.
kwatt, you say SMEG are overpriced, but for the price I've seen with a 5 yr warranty on offer till end of June, are they as reliable as Bosch or Miele?

Expect Miele to be expensive for parts and service, but it's seems that you can expect 5 years from an appliance these days, although things can last, we have a '98 120K Toyota that is still on the original exhaust!

All we need is a basic model that has a timer and dries, who buys something and use's all the option's?

So it seems which is the best option for ten years trouble free service, Bosch, or pay nearly £200 more for a Miele?
People have had ten years from a Bosch, and the main prob we've had with our Hotpoint is electronic failure, you get the feeling that the engineers realise the electronic parts they replace are crap, because there are back in 6-12 months to replace them, we are in limbo at mo, awaiting 3rd of current prob, and expecting a 4th.
This time, I've smelt the coffee with this service contract, there's cheaper options available!
Expect Bosch n Miele electronics to be miles better.

My decision is buy a Bosch and I may get ten years, or pay £200 more and expect to get ten years?
