but she behaves in school ? youre words!
so she is doing it when she chooses to not when the voices tell her?
she is running circles around you and she knows just like i did...i feel so sorry for what i did to my mum...in time she will too..
she knows what she is doing because she chooses the times to do it

No she is doing it in school thats what i'm saying, the school are forever ringing me telling me about her disruptive behaviour, truancy, theft, dominating other kids, not able to get along with them, doesnt seem to understand what she is doing wrong or the danger in the things she does. However they keep passing her to the doctor as they dont want to fund an education psychologist report (which the doctor wants doing 1st) and it keeps getting passed 2 and fro. Since that point they wrote dd is attentive and polite but have not mentioned the other side of her in the written report (even though they see it regularly and are constantly ringing me about her). I feel they dont want to be the ones to make the referrals and apply for runding etc so are under-exagerating (is that a word? lol) the issues. For example, her attendance has dropped below 80 in the past few months (from 100), ive dropped her at school and pick her up and asked for her to go on permanent report so i can make sure she is at school and the result? they wrote in her report her attendance is excellent, only put her on report for 1 week and say thats all they can do and cant stop her leaving the premises as gates are open during lunch etc. They didnt even click on she was skiving until i clicked on weeks into it grrr

When you say "may well have mental health issues" does that mean you haven't actually got a diagnosis yet to confirm it is due to mental health? You should probably sort out that first before looking at DLA tbh.

you dont need a diagnosis for dla its about need not diagnosis and i may well be waiting a long time to be diagnosed. I am awaiting on a scan for dd as my ex shook her brother when he was a baby so they want to make sure she hasnt had shaken baby syndrome which may be a cause however doctor and head teacher seem to think mental illness is likely due to the things she does and also mental health in the family

Teabag i would recommend the use of the ignore button. No one can be arrogant enough to think a suggestion of a dose of discipline is superior to the diagnoses and conclusions of the myriad of medical health professionals that have seen your child. Your being trolled and its not enough subtle don't waste your time.
not trolling... an opinion.....look at my thanked ratio not a troll...

to doulbe make the point "may have mental health problems"

applying for the cash before diagnosis just shows where the proritys lie!

I do wonder sometimes how DLA is awarded when there probably isn't any way that money could help with the persons needs and that is sometimes the case.

Yes, I agree with you. How many parents look for the "illness" instead of getting the help because of the kids actual behaviour? All too often people who are incapable of caring for kids, pop out a couple of chavvies and expect the rest of society to look after them financially.
I read some of the posts on here where whole families are on DLA and various other benefits. Just how genuine are some of these or how often is it the case that someone knows how to "play the system"? How often do people blame nature instead of nurture? In my former career I heard and saw so many times that the disproportionate amount of claimants happen to live on the sink estates, whereas the nuclear family 2.2 married, both in jobs did not have the same percentage of kids either on benefits or claiming they had various illnesses which lead to DLA claims?

I admit knowledge has got better of conditions, but living standards today and healthcare are far better than 40 years ago, yet there was less brutal behaviour from the same set of kids. Maybe it’s because you could not claim several hundred pounds a week through labelling your kids with an illness some miraculously recover from when the benefits that are focused on children are no longer claimable?

I give you an example. I had a kid who played for me in a football team. His mother said he had problems. He had ADD, then ADHD and finally assessed for autism. She got a nice shiny new car as she said he could not go out on his own and she could not work as she had to be at home caring for him, yet he biked the mile unescorted to football every week and to School every day. Cutting a long and boring story short. He left School a couple of years ago, got himself a Ped now works. He is 18 and told me only two weeks ago his Mum told him how to act and what to say. He thinks it’s a laugh that they worked the system. I don’t. There a parents and kids out there with genuine illnesses and disabilities that now find it difficult to claim benefits through actions like this parent. To the OP, maybe the Government, DWP, NHS and other parties disagree with you and think the problem is elsewhere? Maybe they have looked at all the claims, then having had time to study the proliferation of claims for these types of illnesses in the 80 & 90’s, now monitoring these kids now as adults see they may treat todays kids with something other than giving away tax payers money? Not saying the above is the case in your instance, but it appears a broad brush is being applied to many claims arising from illnesses and disabilities that in the past would have resulted in a cash windfall, but now will not.

What do you mean where the priorities lie. my priorities lie with my dd and top priority right now is getting her safely to school without being ran over and i can only do that with the help of transport which i cant get unless shes on dla. There are many other things I would use ay dla i was awarded for which would ease life a little including respite care. Please dont presume I'm a money grabber or something just because ive made an application for something i may well be entitled to. Until you have had a day experiencing what i do everyday do not judge, you dont know me to make those judgements. My priority is and always will be my daughter.

Not judging, how far away is School?

She can obviously walk without difficulty. Do you walk with her? Why does she behave like any other kid once in School?
