If you have not already looked at it, I suggest you check there as the symptoms you describe are different in a big way to the ones you quote (not saying I don't believe you, just that they differ).
I think you'll find if you look at skitzophrenia in children you will see she fits a good 80% of the symptoms0 -
The symptoms and behavior of children and adolescents with schizophrenia may differ from that of adults with this illness. The following symptoms and behaviors can occur in children or adolescents with schizophrenia:
- seeing things and hearing voices which are not real (hallucinations),
- odd and eccentric behavior, and/or speech,
- unusual or bizarre thoughts and ideas,
- confusing television and dreams from reality,
- confused thinking,
- extreme moodiness,
- ideas that people are out to get them or talking about them, (paranoia)
- severe anxiety and fearfulness,
- difficulty relating to peers, and keeping friends.
- withdrawn and increased isolation,
- decline in personal hygiene

they said when she was 3 possible adhd (i must point out she has always had behaviour problems) but too young to diagnose, since then she has seen child psychologist, speech therapist, family therapist and councellor again they all said too young to diagnose and bring her back when she older. I had hoped it would fizzle out with age but its gotten much worse and more disturbing and so finally have got a referral to camhs.
I was completely honest on dla form i explained the issues I have with her and where I have to give her more supervision, help, encouragement. Explained all her problems (too many to list). Explained the history including the abuse and the mental health in family. Explained who she has previously seen and now finally got a referral to camhs but diagnosis could be a long way off. explained how she has a split personality and her episodes can last from a few hours to a few weeks and she rarely remembers them after. i went through everything really.
Before I put in an application I rang dla to explain about dd and the lady said it sounds like I have a chance of getting dla so no harm in trying. I'm not someone who is after whatever money i can get but it would be fantastic to have some respite now and then and to be able to get help with dd's transport which would be a huge weight off my mind. yes i rang social services a few weeks ago as i thought they may be able to help but they were very unhelpful, they basically said wait and see what camhs can do for you. May give them another ring because i was hoping they would be able to help with the transport to school0
