Scented Candles

Yankee candles are the best I've found (I have a candle habit!) They're the only ones that give off a nice but strong smell IMO.
They're not *that* cheap, but if you become a member of the just-candles site (not sure if I'm allowed to post a link, sorry) you get 5% off all purchases. It costs around £6 to become a member, but you get a welcome pack with candles, air freshners etc in.
The wax tarts are the best buys at about 95p each. They smell stronger than the jars too! Not sure how that is possible, mind!

If there is an Ikea near you they do a lovely vanilla scented candle in a glass tumbler - its very delicate and I love having it burning. IIRC they are 99p each.
i love these ones, i buy the vanilla tea light ones too and they are nice and cheap0 -
I've ordered the 'linen' scented candle from Yankee AND biscuits and coffee from Goodfairy. I've also asked goodfairy if she can do lemon or lavender as she says ask for anything different. Time will tell.
I hope to get the yankee candle soon, but goodfairy takes at least 7 days as she makes them.
Thanks everyone! :j0 -
i recommend yankee candles!!
you can get little votives for £1.60 each, these are a great way to find your favourites. i placed my order at yankeedoodle.com thursday morning and was enjoying them on friday morning. highly recommended!
i also recommend the clean cotton fragrance from yankee, it smells like freshly washed linen, drying in the sun on a warm summers morning.0 -
I've ordered some Yankee candle votives from Just Candles- not received them yet but very excited!
Didn't realise they are on Quidco though- will try and remember that next time.

Where is the best (as in CHEAPEST) place to get these Yankee Candles? I've developed a scented candle habit but find that a lot of them don't actually smell of anything. These clean cotton ones sound lovely ..0

to the lady who posted the wickywax website, do you know if she is closed for the holidays or for good as she has some lovely stuff on her site.0

could anyone recommend some good quality scented candles?
i dont mind paying a higher price as long as the quality matches the price.
thanksSPC 0370 -
I have always found Yankee Candles to be very good quality. I'm not keen on the food-smelling ones like apple, melon etc, I prefer Clean Cotton which smells of clean washing and lilac blossoms as it smells like summer
I usually only buy the smaller ones as I get bored of the smell. You can buy minature votives as testers so if you dont like the smell when its lit you havent wasted a fortune on a big one0
