Daily thread for Tuesday November 28th.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.


GOOD MORNING EVERYONE,

WELL THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE STARTED THE MORNING THREAD, SORRY IF ITS WRONG !!

WENT TO BED AT 10.45, FELL ASLEEP TILL 2.30am, BUT NOW IM WIDE AWAKE AND CANT GET BACK TO SLEEP, I HAVE ALLREADY UNLOADED DW, PUT ON WM, MADE PACKED LUNCHES AND PEELED AND CHOPPED POTS AND VEG FOR DINNER TONIGHT !!!!! I WILL BE SOOOOO TIRED LATER, I WONT GO BACK TO BED NOW AS I GET UP AT 5.30am EVERY MORNING AND ALL I WILL DO IS CLOCK WATCH, SO I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE A READ, START THE MORNING THREAD THEN DO THE IRONING. AM GOING XMAS SHOPPING AT PORTSMOUTHTODAY,,,,,, OMG I WILL BE SHATTERED LATER !!!

WELL DID YOU WATCH CELEB LAST NIGHT ? I WAS SOOOO GLAD THAT PHINA GOT VOTED OUT, SHE WAS NASTY !!! STILL WANT JASON TO WIN !!

WELL IM GOING TO HAVE ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE, OH FORGOT TO SAY AT LAST I FOUND STARDROPS... IN SAVERS 62p DO I HAVE TO USE A MICROFIBRE CLOTHOR CAN I JUST USE A SPONGE OR JCLOTH ... PLEASE HELP

Thanks for starting the daily, Amie. I've moved your post so it has a thread of its own which is how we usually do it.

Good morning to everyone else too.

Not much to say here. Still not very well so nothing very interesting to report. I had a cleaning firm recommended to me though and I thought I might give them a go as it's difficult to keep on top of everything. I was told that for a deep clean the minimum call out was for 5 hours for 2 women at a cost of £165. It sounded like they'd have done a fantastic job, but I think I'd rather have dust under the piano for now than part with all that!

I'm a non-sleeper too but not as disciplined as you Loraine, I just log onto MSE.:rotfl:

I'm a bit slack with my OSing at moment due to pain but still doing the best I can- breadmaker is always on and slow cooker is a godsend.

Up at 5 am shattered today as was busy til 12 last night putting up xmas decs, didnt realise the time!:rotfl:

Tree is looking fab:D only hope it stays that way with lo going about!:eek: so far so good:D

Plans today:

tidy up mess on floor, loads of tinsel bits lying about, hubby bought loads of tinsel this year but hardly used any! used silver for tree, but still have red, purple and black etc will see where to put them.

Washing loads to go on, as need to catch up

Clean kitchen using my lovely stardrops

Have ds1's parent/interview today at 5 so have a treat ready for him, he will only get it if he has been really good this year at school - which i know he has:D but will wait til teacher says so;)

Morning everyone :hello:

Looks like I have joined the insomniac club! I don't know why I am up so early cos I feel tired.

Not at w**k today. Using one of the tips in Martin's weekly newsletters, I will be having my will drawn up today under the Will Aid scheme. So, I get a cheap(ish) will and charity benefits. Only the poor old solicitor loses out. Shame.

DS got his braces fitted yesterday and now has a face like a condemned man. :rotfl: He thinks he will die of starvation shortly because he has been told to only eat three meals a day to keep his braces as clean as possible. :rolleyes: I know things will improve once he gets used to them but at the moment it like a dental version of "man flu" with him.

DD goes away on her residential trip tomorrow so I will use some of my time today ironing her clothes and generally getting things organised for her. I know she will have a great time and it will be good for DS and I to have some one-to-one time for a couple of days.

Well, off to do my paid-to-clicks and Pigsback comps.

Morning All

Ok actively seeking a new job now. I can't take this place much more. They've just made a load more changes that will affect me without even telling me. I'm definitely getting out my contract and demanding to go back on the late shift. I haven't signed anything saying I will alternate between early and late shifts, so I don't see how they can argue. If they want to get funny with me, I can play the game just as well.

I was hoping to stick it out till the summer, when I think another job will come up at the council, but I really don't know if I'll still be sane then.

I'd miss all my contacts, and the job itself, it's just this place and the management. Oooh, I'm getting so mad:mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Anyway, on top of that, I managed to spend £30 more than I earned last month, which I'm not happy about.

Glad to see the OS book is ready - sis is going to order that for me:D

Oh yes, my headlamp's broken too. The lense has vanished and the blub smashed by a pebble. Waiting to get the part from someone. Hopefully I'll get some news today

Mornin.

AS usual I woke up early again. I don't know what it is, but no matter what time I get to bed I always wake up at about 5am. I will break that cycle this week with some 6pm-3am shifts, but its a pain all the same. It's hard when we have guests, because I get sleepy in the evening and start falling asleep.... anyway.I did manage to service the car and it stayed dry. Polished it too!!
Today is another day off, and I think I will have to start to sort out the rubbish in the garage and take a trip to the dump.
Tonight it's off to the cinema to see Borat, I hope it's good.

morning all:)

just having a cuppa and a browse on here before i start the day. 2 kids up and 2 still asleep:)

plans for today:

this morning i will be doing ironing and housework:( but it needs doing oh well. i have some orders to pack and thats about it.

this afternoon when dd is at nursery i will be popping into town and getting my housekeeping out of cashpoint, then seeing if i can pick up a few more xmas prezzies to complete a couple of baskets:D

tonight i will be making some more xmas cards, nearly finished now:)
