    Afternoon

DD down for a quick nap - so here I am.

Just a quickie as I'm going to try the jam crumblies. I bought some oats a couple of weeks ago with nuts and raisins in and I don't like them. I like my porridge pure and unadulterated! So if I can use them up in this recipe then I can allow myself to buy some "proper" oats.

Was looking at my cupboard this morning and spotted a bag of spuds lurking forgotten at the bottom. Think I'll make fishcakes with the BOGOF tuna I picked up in Morrisons yesterday. No matter how much I try I NEVER stick rigorously to a list, there's always some bargain. But at least nowadays the bargains all get used. (Managed to get "Cars" dvd for £9.77 too, so thats a pressie for DS sorted)

    Take care everyone.

I'm off to hunt out the jam crumblies recipe. Please send me vibes so I don't eat them all myself!

  • Afternoon all!

Have had a busy morning and a busy afternoon planned- as I wont have time to do this as often when I start work on Monday ( so nervous!!)

So far today I have paid my water, phone, council tax and credit card bill - and ordered Tesco's for delivery tomorrow- ouch!
Have made homemade burgers and have a pot of mince sauce simmering on the stove to make a few batches of cottage pie to freeze for me.
Am planning to finish finding all addresses for the remainder of my christmas cards and wrap my presents and finish my my laundry and clean my flat thoroughyl and then sit down and rework my budget now that I have received the contract for my new job and know how much I am going to be getting!!

Hope you all have a good day!

This is just my second time posting on this thread... I don't know how you all get up so early! I am working 11am-11pm today so have a little bit of an excuse. Nothing really OS today but yesterday I got very into it thanks to this board. My other half came home to hm soup, hm carrot bread and hm brownies for pudding, was vey impressed! I tried out my new bottle of stardrops and microfibre clothes so the kitchen was twinkling too.

On my lunch break today I have to fill in an application form for a proper job! I've never really done it before so I don't know how to make myself standout, any advice??

Afternon all, been shopping bought things like measuring just, rolling pin, cake tine etc for my OS cooking attempts. No I didn't have any of these before.

Managed to get a few Christmas gifts half price, and a new laundry basket (3 sections to help me sort) some cheap baskets for storage etc, that should be the bathroom complete.

Sorting the boys rooms tonight. Hoping to get a few bags out for charity, school fair etc.
One day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon - Hope we are well

Sorry ref your job Mushypeas - dont let it put you off applying for further jobs. Took me ages, and I got fed up with rejection, but I got there in the end. Consider it their Loss...

Well dun DLB for your bargain shopping.

Valentine - hope your feeling better - how far gone are you? Im sure things will get easier.

Pennineman - keep the photo's coming!

Productive day at work - girl who I work with had the day off - she said she had dr's, dentist appt etc, infact - she sneekly had her driving test without telling no1, then rung with fits of screaming to say she passed. Well done her! Then the manager spent most of the afternoon out - So i was left alone. Shame I couldn't get on the net! Got loads of calls made, so not too bad.

Rung the dr's and managed to get a cancellation appt, ref my ear ache. Ive got some ear drops and anti-biotics now.

Cubs/scouts night 2night, so mad rush all around.

Will cath up with you all later
    Love as usual

    Good luck tonight CCStar! *Hugs*

Cor, everyone's getting new jobs. Unlike me :(

Took my birth certificate and adoption certificate down to the employment agency as my official ID - they said they couldn't accept it, I had to have my full birth certificate with both my real parents names on, which obviously I dont have. This is absolute nonsense, those two documents are perfectly acceptable and the agency is actively discriminating agaisnt me.

So, my lovely Mummy has been on the phone to the records agency and made sure that those two documents are ok and they said yes, so now she is talking to the guy at the employment agency and telling him he's an idiot and to go boil his bottom! (in more professional language, obviously ;))

Still, I've applied for a few other jobs - ones that say 'no experience necessary', so I'll be in with more of a chance. Got a few Ebay listings done tody as well and picked up some Xmas cards, so can start writing and sending them.

Hope you all had a good day xx
