Hiya,
I've been trying to do it this way but I get 05/05 then it goes to 06/01. Is there any way to get all the results for just a specific date? Thanks a lot
Not via MSE but you can date search via google by using the prefix in bold and adding the end date
site:forums.moneysavingexpert.com "E: 05/05"
make sure the end date has " " either side
Tip: when you get the Google search results (on the left hand side) click on Pages from the UK\Past Year\Sort By Date
but be warned! Google will throw in some unexpected results and will include results from previous years hence the need to sort by date
and it might even miss some competitions out completely

Hiya,

After 05/05 you should get some 05/06 a couple of 05/07 and one 05/09? At the minute I've got the 05/06's starting on page 34.
The way I get specific dates is to skip a few pages at a time and find the beginning of them, this gets easier after you've been doing it for a while as you get a good idea of roughly where each date will begin, say I wanted to do 06/05, I'd find the beginning of them, then use the Snaplinks add on in Firefox (or just right click to open in new tabs) to open all the pages I need, so at the minute 06/05 starts on page 35 and goes to page 49, so before I start going through I make sure I've got all of the pages from 35 to 49 open.
I do this because as comps are added that end eg 01/06, they will be added before these ones and will push the comps down the page slightly [and as comps are Game Over'ed they will move them back the other way] but if I've got them all open I don't have to think about this happening and make sure I've caught them all.

I search choosing Thread Title, Descending, Beginning, from the options at bottom of competition page.
Comps dated 5/5 start on page 192
URL http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=72&pp=20&sort=title&order=desc&daysprune=-1&page=192
There are 10 pages full of comps, finishing on page 202

you get the same view by just clicking on 'end date view' the orange button on the top barI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Just thought of this today!
If like me you don't have much time to enter comps these days but don't want to miss out some of the big prizes on MSE
from the main page go to "Display Options" select Number of Views\Descending\Beginning this will display all of the pages with the most views which tend to be the comps with the best prizes
try to do the first twenty pages at first then go back daily to see if there are any new entries in the "Top Twenty"
as there are more entrants chasing the big prizes it will be harder to win but when you do you are almost guaranteed that it will be a "nice" prize

Can anyone tell me how to stop showing the page that I have came from to other websites?
ThanksI think refecon works for this.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/refcontrol/
Or just C&p the link in a new tab.
Just search on here for refcon & I'm sure there is more info.
