Steer well clear - Littlewoods let us down on Mothers Day
Comments

It's a special day for Mam for God's sakes.
I worked till 6am Sun morning but I drove a round trip of 34 miles to drop my flowers and card off to my Ma by midday.
Oh Gawd bless him and his Ma!
:rotfl:
Hold on, you finished work at 6am and delivered the goodies at midday?
For heavens sake man, you only live 17 miles away from your Mam, why did the journey take 6 hours?
I think I was in the traffic jam you caused. And so was the Littlewoods delivery van.
It's all your fault!0 -

Yes you and she must be a little disappointed and annoyed but ruined?
Let me tell you what ruined is.
Having your son blown up by a car bomb......that would ruin my mother's day.
Worrying myself sick over my son / daughter who was serving in a conflict zone.....might have other things on my mind other than wondering if flowers will come.
Knowing I'll never see my son / daughter again because they disobeyed the natural order of things and died before me. Now that really would ruin my day.
is there no allowing for the context in which the original vent, was intended?
We could apply that fatalistic, 1-up argument to everything anyone ever says, in the whole world. Come on now.
"i'm hungry" -let me tell you what hungry is, starving people in the world etc etc....
"i'm annoyed" -i'll tell you what annoyed is, it's having your country taken away from you, being made to live in a pond, etc....0 -
how does a housebound person[and theres lots of them]visit local florists? or any other shop were they might want to purchase gifts? online?
Well they all seemed to manage back in the 90's before everyone used the internet.wolfwanderer wrote: »No sign of a response from the Littlewoods rep on this website yet?
It's Sunday evening 10 pm! You hadn't even waited 30 minutes before posting that.wolfwanderer wrote: »But Littlewoods' MSE-approved rep only works office hours and picks and chooses the posts to respond to.
Well how do you know that if you haven't even bothered to wait to see if he/she responds to you? None of the other reps do 24/7 monitoring of this forum so why are you expecting Littlewoods to?0 -

So glad to see you replied. Except you're completely wrong.
What on earth makes you think the Littlewoods rep had read your post and chosen not to respond?
You really do think they have an office of people sat there 24/7 and they are deliberately ignoring you. Bizarre.0 -

What happens to gran next weekend, who will fetch her from the home?
As for Sunday, for me all shops should close. Fortunately in 20 days time, they will and the Commercial Catedrals of extortion shall be closed to one and all.
As for the delivery service, I am fed up with Sainsbury coming on my road after 6, on Saturday it was gone 9:30 in the evening, far too late for commercial activity.0 -

I'd be peed off if I had to stay in all day for a delivery that didn't turn up. Oh, and I don't think I'd be complaining, if my son got blown up, that it ruined my mother's day. Mother's day wouldn't even register. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

I think it's annoying sure, and a complaint is justified. But some people are so emotive and melodramatic about how they express their annoyance, and I don't think it's unreasonable to criticise people for not expressing their gripes in a mature way.0 -
Wow...
We went from flowers to Car bombs to death in a conflict zone.i did not realise Mothers day could be so dangerous.Forum spellcheckers are the pitts.0 -
Hi Everybody,
Last night we were absolutely devastated to find out that many customers who ordered mother’s day flowers did not receive them in time. We’re writing this morning to say sorry and tell you what we’re doing. We apologise unreservedly and although we’re usually proud of Littlewoods’ delivery reliability and customer service – failing to deliver Mother’s Day flowers simply isn’t acceptable. We’re taking the following action: 1) anybody who has not received their flowers will clearly not be charged – we will re-imburse you (or apply a credit to your account) as appropriate 2) Additionally, we will send all affected customers a voucher code for £50 which can be spent on anything at littlewoods.com (for you or for your Mum) 3) As of today we will stop taking orders on flowers. Our flowers are prepared and despatched by a major UK floral specialist, and we need to work out with them what’s gone wrong. We’ll only start selling flowers again if we’re confident the problem will not re-occur. We realise that these actions don’t fully make up for what’s happened but we hope it helps. We’ll make personal contact with everybody affected by the end of today with further details about what happens next. If anyone needs any help in the meantime, please email us directly on facebook@littlewoods.co.uk.
Many Thanks
Nicola
