On March 29, 2014, I paid iFlorist to deliver a bouquet of flowers with a glass vase, a card (which was to be handwritten in) and a box of chocolates, which were to be sent to my partner's mother for Mother's Day.
I had crappy service from them too but at least I gave them time - it does say on the site that orders take 2 working days to get ready and shipped so you were expecting way too much ordering the day before for Sunday delivery on one of the busiest days of the year!
That said, not sending over half your order is not on and I hope you get it sorted out.
My complaint was...responded to. That's the nicest way of putting it.
No apology, no explanation and informing me that they had re-sent the flowers (I did not ask for or want this). To my mother who works nights so is asleep on weekdays, hence my placing the order originally for weekend delivery.
I emailed back and said this, asking them to cancel the redelivery - received an apology, an apology for the lack of apology and no comment on them waking my mother up during the day for a second time by sending the order again.
I can only hope their delivery guy arrived first or last thing - otherwise my mother may have killed him in her sleep-deprived rage:eek:
I know from talking to her since that the flowers did indeed arrive mid-week. No comment on the delivery person.
Her birthday is coming up so I've asked my best friend's Mum, who lives in the next street, if she minds picking up a nice bunch of flowers if I transfer some money over (I live overseas, I'm not avoiding my Mum on purpose). She said that's fine - so much simpler.
2014 wins: maternity/nursing pillow, Magnum chocolate, baby stroller, Baileys cupcakes
Took a break while I moved country (twice).
2018 wins:£400 meal for 4, Clipper tea
2019 wins: flight voucher0 -
Laughable that they say it takes two days to organise a delivery - they are famous for giving member florists less than an hours notice for a timed order they have accepted ON THE SAME DAY
Double standards hey!

I am another one who has had a very bad experience with iflorist. I ordered flowers for Mothers Day but they never arrived. I sent iflorist about six emails (I lost count) to complain and to request a refund. I also tried phoning them, but was kept on the line for at least 15 minutes with a recorded message and was then cut off! I won't call them again as the calls will rack up my phone bill! I got a reply to my final email stating that they would "escalate" the matter, but have heard nothing since. They probably only sent that reply because I mentioned that I had contacted Trading Standards. I have been robbed of £33.80. Totally disgusted with this company. Beware, this could happen to you too. Don't use them. Next time I buy flowers I will order them from my local florist.:o0

I too fell foul of this company, like dozens and dozens of the unsuspecting public. I reported them to Citizens Advice who then sent on the details to Trading Standards. I also sent a report to Watchdog.
It would appear they have been doing this to the general public for quite a few years now !! I was lucky in getting a refund in full, but not before I bombarded them day after day with emails to emily@iflorist.co.uk0 -
On the other side of the coin I switched from InterFlora to iFlorist over a year ago due to any of the above complaints (late delivery / poor displays etc) and have been 100% happy with the service they've provided, a vast improvement on the InterFlora in my experience.
I have been buying goods online for many years and this company called Iflorist has to be the worst experience so far !!0 -
I spent ages choosing a bouquet for my sister-in-law and ended up choosing a gorgeous peach and pink bouquet which was part of their mother's day range. It arrived on time and although sister-in-law was thrilled with the flowers, when I saw the bouquet I was not. It looked NOTHING like what I had ordered, there were no peach roses (which were the main part of the bouquet) there were some white ones and there were also no big pink flowers (unsure what there correct name is), only a couple of pink geraniums. Instead of the small bit of foliage the bouquet was mainly green. I wrote to them and complained, they took well over a week to reply and wrote back with
"While we always strive to ensure that products are accurately represented in our photographs, from season to season and subject to availability, our florists may be required to substitute one or more flowers for a variety of equal or greater quality, appearance and value. This is stated on our website."
I accept that flowers are not always available but as this was a mother's day bouquet ordered around mother's day, it was the same season. I would not have minded so much had the colour scheme even been the same but it was not and I was not contacted to see if I would rather cancel my purchase or choose a different bouquet.
I only wish I had taken the time to google them and read the reviews. The only good thing from it is that they arrived on time and my sister in law was happy with them.0 -
I have never had such a bad experience as I have had with iflorist. They failed to deliver my mum's flowers for mothers day costing me approx £40. I tried to contact them for the following 2 weeks. Their online chat is never manned and they never answer their phones. I ended up sending a letter recorded delivery demanding a full refund. This was on the advice provided to me by Trading Standards. This letter was never responded to either. To add insult to injury I received an email out of the blue from them today offering me a goodwill gesture of a £5 gift voucher! Obviously I told them what they could do with their voucher. I am entitled to and I want a full refund!
I have now informed them via email that I will be taking them to small claims court and also claiming for the court fee and 2 days of my time (the time I have spent trying to contact them). The total comes in at about £300.
The only word for iflorist is - thieves!!! Take your money and then breach the contract.
I have just received a further email saying that a new bouquet will be sent out to my mum today - Agan I have told them what to do with their flowers. Mothers Day is well and truly over!
AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!0 -
No, the original post was a more a warning to all due to one individual experience.
Iflorist says they only charged once.... has the Cardholder checked with the bank - it could be their mistake... We don't know.
Just because there are bad reviews does not mean they should be avoided - every business gets bad reviews. Check out Tesco...they get millions of bad reviews, but then there are 10's of millions more who are happy.
Tell you what, air..it's bad for you..don't breath it. I'll direct you to a website showing how many toxic chemicals are in it. AVOID AIR at all cost, it's really bad.
iflorist are nothing more than thieves so please don't try and defend them.0 -

This company is still trading and still upsetting and disappointing the general public with their awful flowers, awful customer service. I did eventually get my money back, but not everyone is as lucky !! I have reported them to Watchdog and Trading Standards, keep going everyone, name and shame this company.0
