I tried again yesterday too but still got the full capacity message :(

I only signed up to 1899 a month ago and as they are sister companies I wonder if that's why they won't let me have 18866 too

A number of people have had problems signing for 18866 and one trick that worked was to sign up with their mobile number and once the account was set up to then add their landline number. Perhaps you could try this? :)

    Yes. The same with 1899.

    Working OK again now though.

The other weekend I got a message in German [which I don't speak] repeatedly for some time and had to use an alternative instead of 18866.

  • 1. When you go to the following page relating to saving money on calls to mobiles there is a small error. 18866 have increased their call costs to mobiles from 2p per minute at weekends to 3p per minute:

    http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1074453956,39481,

    2. You might be interested to know that on weekday evenings my current supplier - Telecom plus/Utility Warehouse - is even cheaper on their discount scheme (which costs £1.50 per month) than either 1899 or 18866 and they don't charge a connection charge!.

Their weekday evening call rates are as follows:
    Vodaphone: 4.73p /min incl. VAT
    O2: 8.85p /min incl. VAT
    Orange: 8.55p /min incl. VAT
    T mobile: 6.30p /min incl. VAT
However for 3 they are more expensive at 11.25p /min incl. VAT

We are already customers of T+ for phones, gas, electricity, internet and mobiles and get a £50 rebate per annum which more than covers the £1.76 monthly membership fee
  • Can anyone explain how some extraneous attchment about The Diability Film Festival got stuck on the end of my last posting.
I have never heard of The Disability Film Festival, don't understand what it is and don't want to know.

Its a recurring problem unfortunately where signatures are attatching themselves to newish users. If you go into your User CP (control panel) accessed from the bar along the top, then go to edit signature and delete from there, that should be it. :)

Hey Edinburghlass where can a numpty like me get an idiots guide to using the site especially the chatrooms. Twice today i thought that i posted replies but they did not appear It has happened before
It is Ok for all you super star posters but how does a newbie get to understand the language and their way about the site and using all the functions
Help please before I give up out of sheer frustration

Something that I can print out as a ready reference would be ideal
