To find out if it is OK taste it.
My mum used to make a chocolate cream pie which was simply chocolate melted, cream stirred in (think she used double but single would work) and the whole lot poured into a pre-cooked pastry case.0

            Hi rev,
I use it to make soups and sauces for freezing. This thread should give you more ideas:

Someone bought a large pot of single cream to my party the other night, opened it and used a little bit on his pudding.
What can I do with what's left over? Preferably something I could freeze, as I'm on a perpetual diet ...
