  • What I should insert for [NAME OF THE COURT] in the second letter to banks threatening to take them to court (for me a small claims court because I'm only claiming £280)? I'll follow Martin's advice and claim online so should I write HMCO (Her Majesty's Claims Online)?

As above, your local court name.
  • Hello,

I'm helping by OH claim back his charges from Lloyds TSB. We wrote to the London address in January asking for £1084 of charges to be refunded, and got the letter back basically saying no. So I'm putting together the next letter threatening court action, but don't know what court to put. We live in Edinburgh but you can only claim £750 in Scotland, so want to go through English system to claim (I've been told you can do this), but don't know what court to put.

    Any help greatly appreciated!!!

    Hi,
I have written two letters to Lloyds TSB and I am about to threaten court action for my claim of just over £1000. In the sample letter it says" [Insert name of court here]. Now maybe I am being a bit stupid here but should I just put Small claims court, or Moneyclaim or do I have to initiate the court process to be allocated an actual court? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

  • Hi

Am just filling in Martin's sample letter threatening to take my bank to court, after they refused my first letter say that their charges were 'transparent' (Ha and double Ha!).

Am a bit stuck now, as I have to name the court, does this mean saying I'll take them to the small claims court, the amount I'm asking for is just over £400.00 or does it mean I've got to name the district i.e Stockport where I live?

Would appreciate some help on this matter. Do you think I'm too thick to receive my dosh back!!!

I'm hoping I'm doing either of the below, when I get my money.
