Hi
I have applied and sent two letters for each of three bank accounts. In the second letter I threatened court action if I did not get a reply in 7 days. Tonight I have applied via moneyclaim online. Do I have to send the letter everyone keeps talking about. I know my local county court is Warrington.LOL0 -
Hello
I'm just writing to ask about 'Step 4 - threaten to take to court' letter on the website.
In the paragraph where it says ' This is based on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, as I believe these default charges are unfair and not proportionate to your costs, and therefore the [INSERT NAME OF COURT] court will rule in my favour.', what do you put in the Court Name field??? Do you just type in 'Small Claims court'??
I know I sound quite thick as its pretty straightforward! But I dont want to get it wrong or it wont look to good and the Bank isn't going to take me seriously!!
Thanks0 -
You type in the name of your local County Court. I hope that helps!

hiya,
can anyone help with a quick question? i have been lurking around this site for a while now and trawling through threads to try and find the answer to my question but i am pretty sure i can't. i have sent my first letter to HSBC and had the usual delaying tactics reply. moving on to next step now BUT, in the letter where it is meant to say which court i am using i don't know what to put? just moneyclaim.com or something like that?
thanks

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it on the site. After no response from my initial letter I am about to send the letter advising Lloyds TSB that I intend to take them to court for the charges. What I am unsure about is which court should I state on the letter. I live in Scotland so should this be a Scottish Sheriff Court (small claims) or an eniglish court as Lloyds are based in England.
Thank you0 -
sorry. I've found it.0

Having received a standard 'we're not going to pay' letter from Lloyds TSB, I want to use the template on the site (called letter 5) but don't know what to put in the space where it says:
'This is based on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, as I believe these default charges are unfair and not proportionate to your costs, and therefore the [INSERT NAME OF COURT] court will rule in my favour.'
As I haven't taken court proceding yet - what do I put in the gap where it says 'INSERT NAME OF COURT' ! Any help would be very much appreciated!
