Your local court name or just say your local court.
  • I'm just in the process of doing letter 3 (threatening court action) as the Abbey have not replied to my previous request for a refund. Do I quote the name of my local court?

    Hi

I sent my 1st letter asking for the charges back on the 16th Feb. I received a standard letter back yesterday telling me the reasons for the charges etc... I want to send the 2nd letter now but it says on teh template 'insert courts name'. Which court do I need to put on the letter?

    Many Thanks

  • In the letter in Step 4 you have to enter the name of the court that will rule the claim.

Do I put put them name of my local court i.e. Chelmsford or do i put down the MoneyClaim.gov.uk website as that's what I'm going through.

If anybody know can they let me know ASAP

    Thank You

  • ok, im threatening court now, but not sure which court to put down, i live between gainsborough and lincoln, do i use lincoln county court? i think im going to use the online one though so bit confused, why dont i put the online one down instead of county court? wow i sound dumb :o sorry!
  • I'm just about to send the 'that's not good enough, see you in court' letter after HBOS said I didn't have a leg to stand on.

However I've just got a quick question.

I'm using the template which says:

'This is based on the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations, as I believe these default charges are unfair and not proportionate to your costs, and therefore the [INSERT NAME OF COURT] court will rule in my favour.'

...but I don't understand which court I should name.

I think I'm being a bit thick this morning so any help is welcome!

    Thanks.
  • Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could please give me a little bit of advice? I’m in the process of trying to recuperate my bank charges. I was wondering if someone could explain part of step 4? The part on the letter that says insert name of court! Where would I find this information out from?

Many thanks in advance for any information.

Just leave it out and say "the court will rule in my favour".

sorry if this has been posted before -couldn't find a answer anywhere !!! Writing my third and final letter saying - pay up or we're off to court. The letter template states I need to insert my court that proceedings will take place- is the local county court ?? Or is there another simplier answer ??

I'm aiming to post off tomorrow so a quick answer would be muchus appreciated !!!!
