Had a bit of a whoopsie last night. I thuoght i was being uber-efficient and ended up nearly burning the house down..... we had mini toad in the holes for tea, but there was enough batter and sausages left for another set. So i thought instead of waste them i would put them in the oven and then freeze them for another day. So i took 4 out the oven for our tea, and then 4 more went in. Ate tea, had an ice cream, watched hollyoaks, put DS to bed, came downstairs and OH said, 'it smells like something is burning, have you left the oven on?' WHOOPSIIIEEEEE!!!! luckily they wre just slightly cremated and as much as i tried to rack my brains, they were only really any good for the birds. i'm sure they wont complain?
on the upside though, for lunch in work today i have HM leek and potato soup, HM bread and 2 pieces of HM banana loaf!! total cost of approx. 10p!! i solved the breadmaker saga by letting the BM mix and kneed the dough, then removing the dough and putting in a tin to prove, then cooking in the oven. Result was perfect. (the loaf kept getting stuck in the bottom of the BM when i left it in there to cook).
i was out planting up beds with a primary school in the rain yesterday. today is an office day and guess what - the sun is shining. blummin typical!DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Hi All
Have spends to update but DH has receipts so will get them from him later. Didn't have a great day yesterday. DS fell at park and banged his head badly on a swing frame. I still feel sick when I think about it. A huge black blue lump came up on his forehead. Took him straight to Doc's and thankfully he is ok. The swelling has come down a lot just lots of bruising. Definitely have a few more grey hairs now!
Have a gammon joint in SC ready to slice and freeze for sandwich meat. Moussaka for tea as got some aubergines in last weeks veg box.

Spiggle - thinking of you also Spiggle & hope you are recovering ok.
... I have just added up the receipts and I am up to £250.58 so far and have until the 26th before my May can begin. That doesn't actually seem too bad tbh for me so with a bit of luck I might even repeat my one & only success of last month! Actually thinking about it, that total does include a sleeping bag & some clothes from Mr T which I haven't deducted so even better! Oooh, quite excited now at how much I can "legally" deduct from that total!
...
Lol LTS, it does take a while to catch up doesn't it?!? Thanks for your kind wishes, back in tomorrow for the next op on Thursday. Once you've deducted your non-GC things and I've added the tow online orders I've done, I reckon we won't be too far off the same total for the month so far. Glad to hear you being so much more positive.:T

It's enlightening GSP, isn't it? And there is an extra buzz when you think how much longer you might be able to make that tenner last! You're doing really well, keep up the great work. :T
I may have missed welcoming newbies to the GC so apologies if I have and welcome! You have arrived at just the right place for ideas, support, inspiration and a virtual hug guaranteed!
Hippeechiq, have you seen that AF has Slimfast on offer again? It may again be the small one but I thought I'd draw it to your attention just in case.Hope you and DD are ok. :kisses3:
Right I'm off again for a while but will probably be back later today. From tomorrow ... who knows! :rotfl:
All the best and take care,
