Hi all,
Sounds like everyone had a lovely weekend
Just $3 on milk for me today.
I'm trying out a new recipe tonight - Spanish rice and chicken, substituting chicken legs for thighs and aborio rice for sushi rice as its what I have in the cupboard so cross your fingers it turns out ok :undecided0 -
Darn, I just remembered that I was meant to roast a couple of small pumpkins or the butternut squash at the weekend for soup. No wonder I don't have a lunch today. Oh well, I can do that tonight and do some baking as well while I have the oven on.GC 2010 €6,000/ €5,897

Hi everyone - haven't been on for a while but just updating
Had two smallish shops - so have added to my total on signature.
Will need to do a bigger shop soon to stock up as DS has finished Uni and will be home soon.
I'm sorry if I haven't had time to read all the posts - will try to keep up.
Hope you are all enjoying the lovely weather - I work nights if I can and sometimes miss it - but the pay makes up for it.
Looking forward to :EasterBun0 -

Making lentil soup this morning, will make plenty so that some can go in freezer, if I can make a space.
I'm making lentil soup today as well, we are having it for lunch, making it with a gammon joint, will probably have that tonight.
Just a thought usually if the flour goes up, the price of bread follows, I mentioned a few months ago that the prices of flour, rice cooking oil etc; was going was going to rise, cant remember where I heard that. I bought some flour in S********'s yesterday it was 48p on the shelf edge , but went through at 98p a bag, I've a good mind to take it back. The price if increased should apply to new stock, not what's on the shelves, I notice the basics range is now 50p or so, I will be buying that from now on.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:
