    AFternoon everyone

Scrimpy...Ah Kids ...they put us through the mill dont they!!! So glad he is not hurt too bad.

Been out to do my shopping and stuck to my pre printed shopping list from My Supermarket. Spent £49.06 in Sainsbugs...had £4 voucher and £2.50 nectar points would have been £53.06. So I am a happy spring bunny:D

Went to a chicken processing plant and bought 12 packs of top class, locally produced, farm traced chicken diced...would have cost £46.68 paid £9:j Got 2 other top class stuffed chickens prob retail at £7 each for a total of £3. Cant believe the bargain. We will be sprouting wings when we get that lot ate:rotfl:

So thats me for the week hopefully:)

Hope all going well for all. Finding food prices creeping up again though have to say Sainbugs alot cheaper on some items.

    Take care all.:A

Hippeechiq - still thinking of you & really hope you find the strength to complete the appeal regarding your daughter & she gets the decision that should clearly have been made originally.

Thanks for your kind words & thoughts LTS :kisses3: I have managed - after much badgering and many phone calls to those concerned - to get a letter of support from DDs Psychiatrist, and her Psychotherapist and have to collect one from our GP 1st thing tomorrow morning, and then we have an appointment at 12.30 tomorrow to see Shelter who will help us to lodge our appeal.

Tomorrow was the earliest appointment I could get, and I phoned them on the 18th March! so I can't change the appointment because DWP have to have our appeal by the 22nd April. DD has to attend, as she is the "client" but she's far from well. Mentally she's all over the place because she's on a new anti depressant and physically she's had Diarrhoea/Headache/Back Pain & Stomach Cramps for 10 days now.

It started on the final week of weaning off an anti depressant she'd been taking for 2 years and has continued since starting her new one. Neither Psychiatrist or GP will admit that it's medication related, so I'm left with being half heartedly told that it "may be a virus" and "there is little we can do" ........no-one will accept responsibility or offer medical help.

Well this morning, I've had enough, and I rang the surgery and told them today in NO uncertain terms that it is NOT acceptable for someone to have Diarrhoea/Severe Headache/Back & Stomach pain for more than 10 days and receive no treatment. My GP isn't in today so I/we have to see and oncall Dr this afternnoon, and I said to her on the phone "I'm not threatening you, but let me be clear, I will NOT be happy if we come and see you this afternoon and you say there is nothing you can do. I EXPECT to leave your surgery with SOMETHING to help alleviate my daughters' discomfort and preferably also stop the Diarrhoea"

I didn't want to have to be like that, but if the last 2-3 years has taught me anything, it's taught me that being nice doesn't get results, and I think to wait for 10 days is more than patient.

I'm just tired of every damned thing being a battle. I've already be told to expect our appeal to have to go to a tribunal fgs! :(

Anyway - sorry everyone :o I didn't mean this to turn into a rant, I'm just exhausted and a bit on the low side.

I'll return to lurkdom until such time as I don't feel so emotional - but thanks for everyone's recent kind words.

Hippeechiq, have you seen that AF has Slimfast on offer again? It may again be the small one but I thought I'd draw it to your attention just in case. ;) Hope you and DD are ok. :kisses3:

    Hi All,

    Sorry been MIA

I managed to come in under budget last month, but i haven't kept an eye on it this month and i am already £34.88 over budget

But i have had some good news, i got a pay rise!

And found out i can claim about £800 off the tax man!

But the overspend isn't much to worry about as i have stocked up on all my cereal bars for Slimming World and some Mikados (when they were bogof)

Will try and keep a try properly next month, which starts on 21st!

On the plus side i have had alot of NSD!

another blinkin £20 on petrol. Sorry - it's not GC related but my bills account is depleting fast. Going to take the milk from work home tonight, cook from what we have in, probably spicy sausage pasta, then I will have to remember to bring my Tesco vouchers with me tomorrow to pick up a few bits we need! 9 days to go and I can put about 120.00 back into the bills account for the rest of the month. Then GC will start in earnest again as of May!

Real success with maple and mustard pork chops last night. So easy - supposed to be port tenderloin but I had chops so substituted. Leftover mash and spinach. Delish.

Tonight using up red pesto on salmon with last night's leftover spinach, wild rice and broccoli. Will cook extra rice for leftovers tomorrow.

Trying really hard not to go to Mr T but think I might have to tomorrow - DH needs boot laces. Will try and get in and out with only what is on the list.

Hippeechiq, I am keeping you and your DD in my thoughts. I am really sorry you have to go through this. It is absolute madness. I hope someone see's sense. I am dreading it when I have to go and see the assesment people as they have no clue about our conditions.
