Just back from Mr T on a mini top up shop (no big shop this week due to be away for the weekend).
Managed to spend £15 so not too bad at all really - that will see us throught to Saturday when the "proper" shop happens.
I may end up popping into the greengrocers for a teeny bit of fruit towards the end of the week so that may be a few pounds more.
My budget for the week was £45 (forgot it was a "short week" for me) and so it looks like with the £4 at Mr S yesterday, £15 at Mr T today I'm totalling £19. Realistically that may creep up to more like £25 but that'll still be £20 under budget this week:j:j (even if it was by accident!)0 -
In case you have stopped checking march posts please put me down for £200 this month thanksMAR GC /£346

Well that's my first weekly shop done, split it between 2 shops with £22.17 at the budget shop and £44.19 at the big supermarket after vouchers and my discount. Quite excited really lol, it would probably have been easier (and cheaper!) if I didn't have the boys with me haranguing me for goodies in every aisle! Value pizzas for tea pepped up with some veggies and extra mozzarella, mmmmmmFeeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

Mega cheap meals again today.
My thermos yoghurt had separated so I put it through the cheesecloth and used the soft cheese to make up the filling for a quiche. Just added an egg along with left over egg whites and a few herbs with seasoning. Yummy scrummy.
I used the yolks to make up the recipe for a semilina pudding that I made this morning in my thermos cooker.
Just had it and it was delish!!! No school canteen lumps at all and quite spicy!!
Can't believe I didn't go shopping at all this weekend! I normally top up with lidls weekend offers but my freezer is full of good meat so I had no need to go, yay
Just picked up a kenwood food processor from freecycle so need to have a huge rejiggle in my cupboards to find it a home. Can't wait to play!!!! Managed to rehome half a dozen of my egg surplus in exchange for it. Quite a favourable transaction!!!
The leftover pastry from the quiche base is in the fridge along with a tub of leftover stew that's defrosting ready to be turned into a plate pie tomorrow!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Afternoon, everyone. Just popped on to update my signature with a spend for this week. I'm thinking I might need a small top up shop later in the week, but so far so good. I spent £26.11 at Mr M today, and bought the usual weekly shop-py bits, as well as a gammon shank to keep in the freezer as they looked really good on the butcher's slab. Really good.
We've got an omelette for tea tonight, as both of us feel like we need to cut down on the carbs a little. Might have it with a little bread and butter. Yum.
Have a good evening, everyone.

Just reporting a smallish spend of £7 exactly at Mr T on some emergancy supplies of milk, salad bits, BBs and tinned toms also managed to pick up some reduced Ladies monthly bits on whoopsie tickets didnt think 50% off was to be missed they had other toiletries there too with similar mark downs so i suspect some lines may become discontinued. Not bought any more treats out my £2.50 allowance this week as still got treats left out of last weeks in budget spend, who knows if i have £2 left at the end of the week chips, sausage and curry sauce for tea!:pHSBC [STRIKE]£3223.20[/STRIKE] £2060.00Cap1 [STRIKE]£1724.91[/STRIKE] £1782.00OD [STRIKE]£939.78[/STRIKE] £200.00No 49 of £2012 in 2012.. £645.10 so far & Crazy Clothes £14.09/£100.00 ReducingtheToiletryStash2012 UU12/IN 20 March Grocery 0.00/£65.00 & LbsNot£s Lost 14Lbs0 -
