I don't actually have a list this week *blush*. I know that's totally the wrong way to go about this but I'm sure I'll get into the swing of it soon. Will compare with my receipts online when I get home. Did that last week and my £38 A1di shop would have been £59 at tesc0 for the exact same items!!!!!Feeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

If you have Aldi or Lidl nearby then that is great. Usually best to have a meal plan. Write a shopping list. Go to Aldi or Lidl and anything else from the supermarket, farmers market, local market. You will soon work out which is cheaper for certsin things.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Is your Farmers market cheap for stuff? We have one once a month but it's gourmet stuff and costs a fortune! No local markets or anything and the farm shop is about 15 miles away and the cost of diesel cancels out any savings, grrrrr. I do love Aldi though, my boys wouldn't get grapes etc otherwiseFeeding 2 adults and 5 piglets aged 7 months, 7, 8, 10 & 13. Thank heaven for Aldi!:rotfl:

No, we have exactly the same problem as you. I have started doing a Lidl/Aldi shop once a month (I do a 5 week menu plan) and then doing top ups online weekly for fresh stuff and storecupboard stuff.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
A few more spends over the weekend brings my total to £31.04
It did include some indulgent but unessential fudge from the market for £3!

First Spend of the month to record - £45.60 at Mr T's. Made some banana bread to use up over-ripe bananas but forgot the bicarbonate of soda so looks a bit flat but tastes fine. Also made some Twinks which, as usual are lovely.
