Hi My husband and I sent 1st letter 2nd march, they sent charges several weeks later -18th April they sent a letter saying they will get back to us by the 11th may -my husband and the 14th me. They replied today offering me the full amount £334 -begining of the letter it sounded like they weren`t going to refund at all said they disagreed but due to usual Bull .... .
They offered him £1,675 instead of £2,395 without interest added, £2,800+
with, sounds ungrateful but was looking at around £2,000 but we are not ungrateful we are gobsmacked we have been offered anything as things never go right for us and when I look at other peoples post and what trouble they seem to be having its a miracle and this will help us out alot.
so Thankyou Thankyou Martin and Everybody on this site as without you all
this wouldnt be possible so keep on everybody else asking for your money Dont give up as it proves they are in the wrong!0 -

Hi All
I made a phone call this morning to Barclays (former Woolwich) whiched had previously offered £1024 as a gesture of goodwill for my £1876 claim of which I declined and proceeded on with money claim, on 14th acknowledge and further 14 days entered a defence. Still waiting for court date to come though. But after hearing about yesterday’s events with tsb in court, decided to take the offer (cut and run).
But after making the phone call this morning to accept the offer, was told this would now continue to go to court due to yesterdays events of the bank winning.
Thought you guys might find this interesting.
Looks like im going to have to take this all the way
Good luck all

Hi,
I have noe received the list of charges and need to complete the next step.
I understand that I may be able to claim interest on these charges as well!
How do I calculate the interest?

Started looking into claiming my charges back a couple of months ago & then life got in the way.....anyway, have started preparing for it again now....but very confused as to who I need to write to claim my charges back. [I dont need to get my statements as I have kept them all from the past 6 years.] With the changeover my Woolwich account is now closed & I have a new Barclays account......Ive seen it mentioned on this thread to write to Barclays instead, but still none the wiser tbh
....my last statement from the woolwhich was in March & the number for the Open Plan customer contact centre at Clacton on Sea (at the bottom of the statement) is still in use....so do I write to them there, or use the "contact us" address on the Woolwich website at Bexeleyheath or do I need to bypass the Woolwich entirely & write to a Barclays address...& if so which one?
HELP!!

Hi Sarah What I Would Do Would Be To Phone The Number Where The List Of Charges Came From And Ask Them What Address To Send It To Because If Its Not The Right Address You Send Your Letters To They Could Prolong Or Say They Havent Received It - I Was A Woolwich Customer And I Found Them Helpful On This Number
01255 477032
Good Luck0 -
Like I said in my post I havent had a list of charges as I have all my statements
I am being a bit thick here or is ringing the bank up themselves actually going to work - surely they wont actually be volunteering information to help my claim?

WELL I would still ring to ask to confirm the address where to write to - or if you dont want to do so then just write to the main address but send it recorded delivery0

sarah just looked at where my letter came from 2 days ago with the offer and thats the
