This is no reflection on Boots but Be warned that Lovefilm will do EVERYTHING possible to prevent you from cancelling your "Trial".
They have no UK admin address,an Indian Call centre,only 0870 contact numbers, Managers that are never available and even deny reciept of Recorded Delivery communications.
If they wern't for real they would be a joke providing the "bad example" of eveything that the MSE site stands for.
They used to provide the DVD rental service for Sainsburys but they dropped them ( I wonder why!!!!)

thanks deanos- i did see this afterwards :rolleyes: , as i trawled the t&c's to try and find out why they had taken it. i still think £20 is a bit steep though, and they should make it MUCH clearer if they are going to do that!

So have we all been charged 3 months membership up front? I thought this was a free trial? :eek: :eek:

I did a trial like this before (well twice in fact, once with tescos dvd and once with blockbuster dvd). With tesco it was a free dvd to keep (instead of the voucher). I got my trial dvds, cancelled before my trial ended, sent my trial dvds back and all was ok (even though they received my trial dvds back AFTER the trial finished). They didnt bill me again but they didnt send my free dvd either (WHICH HAPPENED TO BE ONE I WANTED). I sent an email complaining, got a reply saying there was a delay due to high demand, and eventually got my free dvd.
With the blockbuster trial the only problem I had there was that they billed me after the trial (which they had said they would do). However as promised they refunded me the next month, so it cost me nothing.

I have signed up for this one and had no problems. As far as I'm concerned at the least I will get some free dvd rentals and hopefully (and I'm sure) I will get a #15 boots voucher which I'll use to buy smoeon an xmas pressie.
