Hi
Has anyone got the phone number for Lovefilm?
I phoned up to cancel my subscription as my free trial came to an end and i had sent back all the DVDs. I have also received my Boots vouchers.
However, even though ive cancelled my subscription i'm still able to login and view my bank details etc etc.
Isnt this against the law or something? that once a customer wants to leave for good, the company should destroy all your details?
any help appreciated0 -

Sorry for late running of this reply!!
Re LoveFilm hanging on to customer details:
I'm not sure if any legitimate Data Protection issues arise because I'm not sure that LoveFilm retains credit card / bank card info on its files.
It's pretty clear though that LoveFilm certainly keeps ex-customer details on file to prevent advantage being taken of any "new customer" offers launched by LoveFilm.
Nothing wrong with that.
But as all the evidence to date points to the fact that every temporary customer of LoveFilm DVD rentals becomes a permanent customer of Amazon DVD rentals or a similar supplier, I can't see why they're bothering to archive so much useless information:
Once a LoveFilm customer, never a LoveFilm customer again.
