As for Lovefilth, like many people I suspect, if that company went down the plughole, I wouldn't shed a tear. Certainly the MD deserves the sack immediately for failing to get a grip.
couldn't agree more :TI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

After much hassle with Lovefilm (Claiming I didn't have the right number of films registered) I rang Boots, spoke to a lovely lady who apologised profusely saying they'd had 1 or 2 problems with this promotion and were sorry for the experience, and that I'd receive my voucher within the next 7 days! Hurray...just have to hope it arrives. Hats off to Boots for people skills- Lovefilm would do well to pick up some tip[s!0

Most odd - my original post you've quoted seems to have been deleted?
Perhaps the word Lovefilm or Lovefilth is now counted as a swear word on MSE and my post fell foul of site policy?
Bizarre - mind you most would agree if the company name did become a banned word here0 -
i took great pleasure in spending my free £30 in boots today31/12/2006 £8395, 01/10/2008 £5089.73, 19/10/2010 £835.00 31/03/2011 £0.00

Well I took out my Lovefilm account when Martin first found the loophole, fulfilled my obligation to Lovefilm and cancelled the a/c. I took the number for boots down from above and spoke to a very polite call centre worker and told her about how its been difficult dealing with Lovefilm and she instantly gave me the option of either £15 worth of Boots Points or a £15 Boots voucher in the post.
A result!
One worry is she did not ask for any membership numbers from Lovefilm and I could have been trying it on!0 -
Hiya,
Ive had the same problem with lovefilm. Cancelled my subscription end of December - still not rec anything. E-mailed them 3 times no reply. Just rang the Boots customer service number 0115 918 2000. The lady was soo nice + she put 1500 points straight on my card. Hopefully I will still rec the other voucher from lovefilm and be quids in :-)

Hi, I've been emailing LOVEFILM for weeks asking where my voucher is as I cancelled my 30 day free trial on 4/01/07, and the only response I keep getting is that 'I didn't put ten films on my selection at registration' which I 100% did. I have even asked them to provide proof to support their claim that I didn't so that I could complain to Trading Standards but still received an email stating 'you did not put ten films in your selection at registration'. Absolutely furious, I have just rang LOVEFILM (08706095384, the number I called when I cancelled), who have told me I am 100% entitled to the voucher and that its practically been despatched to me and someone will email me within the next few days. !!! I explained the trouble I'd been having via email but the lady confirmed that i'd definitely get the voucher and that i'm definitely entitled to get it. I'll leave it till the end of the week and if I hear nothing I'll be kicking off.
Just thought this might be helpful. I really didn't want to phone up angry at Boots when its LOVEFILMS blatant incompetence.0 -

Forget Lovefilm, they are rubbish - give Boots a call and they will sort you out hassle free.0 -
After a few emails with Lovelfilm claiming the usual - not signed up not enough DVDs, cancelled before offer started - I got this on the back of a THREAT to contact Boots.
