surely some of those that signed up at the start of this post must have had something, even a email to explain!
I am 10 days in, received and returned the disk in the post yesterday after only receiving the disk on Thursday.
I have now removed all other titles from my account so they cannot send me any more titles. As soon as they recieve the disk I have returned I will cancel.
Still no sign of the voucher.
Wheres Martin when you need him!?0 -
No sign of the voucher but i have recieved an email to say that everything is now cancelled- i posted the dvd back the day it arrived without any proof of postage.Love can tame the wildest0

I hope you all receive your Boots vouchers XX ( I never applied for this offer as I was put off by reading all the hassle/trouble people were having with the company).
GOOD LUCKXX!!0 -
Hi All,
I signed up for this FREE TRIAL with Boots/Lovefilm via the link that said "£15Boots Voucher". As soon as I had received 2 pairs of DVDs, I cancelled online, removed ALL DVDs from my rental list and sent back the last 2 DVDs with 68p registered mail. Then I RANG them the next day to confirm cancellation.
(I have had previous bad experiences with Lovefilm!)
I watched my online Lovefilm Rental list to make sure they had received the DVDs back ('on rent' at zero).
I have since sent emails to Boots AND Lovefilm to ask WHERE my Boots voucher is... Boots have not replied and the replies from Lovefilm have been more than unbelievable..(want to see?) Telephoning them got a response from India that was equally useless.0 -

It clearly says on the t+c's that it can take up to 30 days from the date of registration for the boots voucher to arrive, so i dont see why you have a problem at the moment0

I've had no problems with lovefilm. Just thought I would add something to the thread though.
If you tell Lovefilm when you are cancelling that the only reason you took the free trial was to get the voucher (even if its the truth) don't you think they will be les likely to send it out and to do such deals in future.
Wouldn't it be best to just say one of the other options they give you.
Also, instead of cancelling your free trial and then sending back the dvd, wouldn't it be more sensible to send back your dvds, remove all others from your list. WAIT until you see the dvds are noted as returned and THEN cancel your trial.
I don't see what all the fuss is about. If you do this sensibly then at the least you will get some free dvds to rent. At the most you will also get a free £15 voucher.
I signed up for the trial (the 2 at a time option), got my 2 dvds within 2 days, watched them with my boyfriend, then sent them back. I removed others from my list so they could send me no more. Once they were recieved I cancelled the trial listing the reason as it was too expensive. They have confirmed my trial is cancelled. I don't know if they pre-authorised any payments initially since I did it on a credit card account and all I know or care about is that no money has left my account.
If I don't get the £15 voucher, as far as I'm concerned I still got a nice weekend of watching 2 films I really wanted to see. And besides since they say it can take 30 days to receive the voucher, since demand will be high and since postage is slow with christmas I would not be making a fuss about not getting the voucher so soon.Watch the pennies and the pennies watch the POUNDS! :j

OK, thanks Deanos.
Unfortunately, the "support staff" don't seem to know anything about any Voucher so it does make you wonder...
I asked (by email) when the voucher would arrive and they replied with all the usual set phrases ('sorry for the inconvenience' & 'kind regards' etc.) "and please ring our 0870 number".
I replied asking them why they wouldnt tell me via email, then they replied: "please tell us the voucher's number..."
I can't believe such INCONCEIVABLE ignorance and stupidity can be possible..0 -
you do not need to pay for proof of posting it is free. I don't know if i've missed anything because I haven't read far back but you only pay for "recorded delivery" which is unnecessary in this circumstance as proof of posting (which is free) is just as adequate.
