    Morning all :D

Another beautiful morning, following a fantastic nights sleep (a lie in would be nice though, but I seem to have become an early bird)!

Yesterday was not AF but again just one very small glass of wine and a bottle of larger at lunchtime, then I stopped... My aim now is not to drink until Saturday, so I can complete my target.

Today will be spent cleaning and getting ready to go back to work tomorrow after two weeks at home :(

beckseven I to find it scary when I consider how much I would normaly drink, over a bank holiday weekend like this it would probably be at least 5 or 6 bottles of wine :o

Chloris Well done on your AF camping trip, thats quite an achievement :T

    Have a good day,

    Mari xx

Morning everyone and welcome to the newbies
17 Af please Shaggy. Feeling a bit annoyed with myself as have drank more than i planned to do over the Easter weekend, had a 'planned' drink night for Thurs but then also had wine on sat eve and last night. Even though had 3/4 bottle of wine i was p***ed last night and became very annoying to my DH. However today is a brand spanking new day which i have control over my drinking today. Originally i planned to have a drink today as having a girly day out but decided i dont want to feel like i did yesterday/this morning so im going to drive. Since i was in my bed at 10pm last night ive been wide awake since 6am, made bread and have just put it in the oven and the smell is wafting through the house.
Well done everyone on their AF'ness over the weekend, i salute you all!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Hi issytm

I know how you feel, thats exactly what I have done for many years and when Im not watchful my inner voice tells me "it's o.k, you deserve a drink, one won't matter" ect,ect...

For me though I can get through wine o'clock when I make it absolutly clear to everone around that Im not drinking, have nice non alcoholic drinks in, find distractions such as going for a run or coming on here and have an answer for my inner voice...I know I feel so much better and am a nicer person when I don't drink, this is what I think of and where I find the strength to say to myself NO the abusive drinking harms you and everyone around you. For me it's a work in progress, each day is day one of this journey.
Gosh what a ramble!! Hope that helps in some way,

    Good luck and take care,

    Mari xx

    18 please lovely Shaggy!

Went to a BBQ at a relatives house yesterday! Food was lovely and lots of water on tap for me. Got a lot of confused and sypathetic looks when I said I wasn't drinking. I also got a lot of "surely you can have one"! Came home, slept really well, lovely clear head and a day of chillax ahead of me......suits me perfectly!

Issytm - Lime and fizzy water is lovely! Be kind to yourself.

    Have a smashing day folks!
