Thank you for the welcome Shaggy & BHB :), what a fantastic thread this is!!!

If it's ok I'll jump on board from May...not sure how many AFD's I want to commit to just yet as this is going to mean a significant life change for me (it's the norm to have at least 1 glass (and usually more) of something containing alcohol every day and has been for years!!!)

This LBM feels as significant as when I faced up to my debts.....is there no end to this metamorphosis I'm going through?? :)

Me too - been doing this 3 weeks now - was daunting to start with but now starting to get easier.

18 AFD this month and 9 in a row now. Woop woop :j

11 afds for me now-bought some af beer but to be honest I think i prefer flavoured sparkling water. Welcome may2013-this thread is great for really making you think about how much you drink and a great support in stopping/cutting down. well done Barshambilly for resisting temptation-I love ginger beer! Well done everyone who has stayed af. My dh has gone out tonight and although i have given him strict instructions to go straight to bed no doubt he will insist on staggering in and talking rubbish to me-ugh!

    16 for me please Shaggy

Been in the garden most of the day, apart from the 7 mile dog walk I did this morning :T. DH has been drinking steadily all afternoon and evening, but I had no desire to join him. Stuck to my diet orangeade then lime & soda....so much more refreshing, and no hangover tomorrow either.

    Debt-free and Proud!
Good morning everyone :D and Happy Easter :easter:

Well I wan't AF yesterday as planned (didn't drive in the end!) I had 2 small glasses of wine, although I am disapointed that I didn't stay AF, I am also pleased that I stopped at 2 as usually I would carry on drinking myself into a stupor. So that in my eyes is progress, that is what I want to be able to do occasionally.

Welcome May2013 this a fab place to be :j

Well done everyone who has managed to stay AF :T
    Have a fab day

    Happy Easter everyone!

Welcome May, you've joined a lovely group, everyone on here is just fab!

Had a great night, friends came round and we fired up the BBQ! I really enjoyed myself, everyone enjoyed drinks and I remained AF! I suspect I might have been the driving force in the past and even set the pace! It just reiterated in my mind that I'm not capable of just cutting back. Guess I've just faced up to it.

Well done to you all on participating and achievements! Please don't feel sad about little hiccups, being a member of the thread shows commitment even ahead of the target setting!

Off to start Egg munching! Take care folks!

    Lala x
    :);) AF since 10.04.11 :):D
