Harder tonight; I haven't got my Cadburys hot chocolate yet so I'm going to have a cup of something called Skinny Cow  that one of my daughters left here and then go to bed with my book.
    Goodnight.

Mackeroo-I lost my baby weight from my first ds with ww-thinking back I did really well as I was in a size eight when he was about 8 months old but have really struggled to get back into shape after my dd who will be three in January-still could do with losing a good ten pounds but am broke at the moment so can't afford to go back to meetings yet.

Hi. WW have changed the points system this year which means if you did have any old books the old points wouldnt match the new system, if you know what i mean. PM me with your stats, if you would like me to work out your allowance. Not much else has changed with WW other than most fruit and veg are free now

Evening all - been AF since my last post so I must be on 17 now (on phone so no colours sorry).

Cheesypeas, I really know what you're saying - not sure whether its the kids or the booze that's addled my brain!

Miss P, Do whatever you need to do - we're always here when you pop in.

    Afternoon all!

Sorry not been in, been a manic week at work and school.

Doing ok. Had a wobble at the weekend but OH stopped me before I went too far. He's been a star.

Not been going to AA meetings (seriously, not got the guts!), but phoning the helpline. They say this is fine (and the people on there are brilliant).

I hope no-one minds me not popping in every day but I'm finding it easier if I don't THINK about it (or type about it, if you know what I mean!!)

    Miss P

Do whatever you feel is right for you Miss P, but you will get a very friendly welcome at AA meetings.

The one I go to has had mums taking their young children with them because of child care problems.

I wish you well and good luck with your journey.

    Morning :hello:

I heard the bells last night. In the end I resisted as I couldn't face been even the slightest bit sluggish this morning :D and I just couldn't bring myself to part with the dosh :) and I didn't want the calories :rotfl: So it seems I have plenty of reasons not to drink.

So 1 more AFD for me Bearacus.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

. As it stands at the moment we are at 6 1/2 bottles of wine and 5 bottles of Bud. Monday morning I'll have an accurate view of just what a "normal" week is and be able to have an estimate on how much it costs.

Ouch! Quite a bit I should think. I must admit it's the cost that's putting me off drinking at the mo. That little lot must have cost £30 to £50?

Hi All - can I join you please ? This forum might be just what I need to get AF....
I had a realisation recently, that as I turned 40, I had probably been drinking steadily for almost 25 years, certainly with very few AFDs in the last 20 (stopped during 2 pregnancies and thats about it !!)
No wonder I can't remember much........
So I have made a concerted effort this month and have steely determination to carry it on. But I might need some help......
Can I start counting from last weekend ? I drank on Friday night, but have had nothing since. I reckon I will drink one night this weekend and one next weekend, so can someone do the maths for me ?
Be great to get support and offer support to people who want the same thing.........

smiley-welcome-wagon.gif you are on the October list. Well done on the 6 AFDs and good luck!
