I've woken up with a clear head again this morning and my waking thought was - I wouldn't feel like this without this thread and you lot. So thanks :)

    What FPT said :T:T:T:T:T:T
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Can I come back in please :o. I was pretty appalling during August, and only racked up about 6 AFDs, my worst month yet. But I seriuosly need to shift this last bit of weight and I have a hospital appointment at the end of the month, so I need a good few AFDs before then. Could I be TF please Shaggy, with 2 completed. Hope everyone has been doing well, I must admit to not even looking at this thread for nearly a month :o

87892.gif You're on the list and Good Luck!

It is difficult to judge how remarks will be interpreted and the smilies can only replace facial expressions to an extent:D

Good to see you posting MissP, I always worry when people go awol that they're having problems or worse still off partying without me!!

I'm out for a quick supper tonight but friends will be choosing the venue so not idea what I'll be eating but will definitely have just the one (planned) drink.

    Have a good day all.

Blimey, wish I WAS partying!! Got to go on a couple of meals which I wasn't planning on, plus various hospital trips with various members of family (OH slashed his hand yesterday....Dad has tests tomorrow for an ongoing problem - I'm a taxi as he's not allowed to drive after) so life seems rather full on at the moment!

  • Hi everyone

I just had to pop in to say I am feeling a bit pleased with myself as managed to have a nice lunch out with a friend who I normally find myself drinking with - and I managed to stick to soda water/lime and hot chocolate! Despite the fact he had 2 beers, and that when I went into cafe/bar I wasn't sure what I would have, I just decided to test out my willpower. If I was working I wouldn't think of having a drink at lunch time but the fact I am off this week, and that me and this particular friend have spent many a pleasant afternoon over a few drinks, I feel like its a small victory.:)

Pub quiz tonight so that's the next challenge - going to try to stick to soft drinks, will see how it goes.

    Well done Stitchintime, great work!
AF for me last night, and tonight too, which will bring me to 7 for September and 3 for the SNC this week.
I'm starting to think that not drinking again will be fairly easy - it's just really the time that I spend with my mum that's going to be difficult, but we'll see what happens.

Over the Wednesday hump now, and it's downhill to the weekend, hurrah!!!!
