And again for me too. 6 days AF :D.... (edited to add: sorry, I realise this big grin might make me seem a little bit too pleased with myself but I'm suppose I am rather chuffed I've managed this!) x

Thanks for your words of encouragement mrsrainman :) I tend to have a bit of an all or nothing attitude which is something that has hindered me before in both cutting back on the booze and on losing weight...1 glass of wine drunk? I might as well have 4! Eaten a 'naughty' dessert? Might as well carry on for the week...I am sure that mindset is quite common and its something I must look out for.

Anyway, today was booze free so 3/20 AFD for me so far :D Think tomorrow may not be though but going to make up for it with a sober weekend which doesn't often happen...

  • Day 5 AF and 2 for the SNC please guys.

Was wandering around work tonight (supermarket) and when I see wine on the shelf it usually makes me want to buy some at the end of the evening. Tonight I felt disconnected from it which is quite a relief.

I don't think you should apologise for being pleased with yourself! Well done. I find it hard on here sometimes to be sure the words I write will read ok, but figure people will probably work out over time what I'm like. Sometimes I worry a well done will sound patronising or as if I know any of the answers but then I thought it might just be taken how I meant it so get over myself.

I stayed AF in spite of being offered a taste of a polish spirit by one of my week night housemates. I felt quite proud of myself for politely saying no without reasons.

I slept much better last night but have woken up too early so I thought I'd post on here and then go for a run. I'm starting Week 6 of my 9 week couch to 5k app and ran for 20 minutes on Saturday. So I too am feeling pretty chuffed with myself. I'd better run carefully this morning (pride comes before a fall :D).

    Have a good day everyone
  • Well done on the couch to 5k WBF :D I only made it to week 3! Must get back onto it I think.

    Happy Wednesday!!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
