The Full Monty for me please! So done 2 so far. What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

5 afds for me please Shaggy and 2 for the snc please bearacus. Hope all is well with everyone. I havent had a drink for two whole weeks in a stretch now. I've drank copious amounts of low cal ginger beer though! Mrs R-glad that he doesnt hurt you but still worried for you as I don't think he'll stop when the baby comes either. My best friend was married to an alcoholic and he used to say that he'd stop drinking but then he'd hide his alcohol in the park and go out to 'walk the dog' and when she finally split up with him after he headbutted her when she refused to go to the shop to buy him more vodka she found dozens of bottles hidden all over the house-in his golf bag, in the garage, behind cushions, bottles of champagne she'd been given for her 30th had been emptied and then he'd carefully put the cork and foil back in so you couldn't tell it had been emptied. It's an awful illness and I hope he gets the help he needs soon. I'm glad you're not stressed though and are doing really well.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

I think that's all part of coming to terms with cutting down/giving up Posie. The more you experience feeling 'alive' after an AF/moderate night the more it will spur you on to be sensible. I had a half bottle on Sunday and was tempted to open another. In the past I definitely would have done but this week I made a cup of tea!!
Thanks for that maman and well done on your restraint. I think at last I am getting to a position where feeling 'normal' is the norm! Hope it can last!
Had the dreaded bells on my way home last night but thought of you all and managed to resist. I think I used to feel that an evening not drinking was an evening wasted (excuse pun) - which is just madness. I was in too much of a habit and am having to re-train my brain. Getting there bit by bit but know I still have a long way to go.
Although I am a fairly new poster I have been a lurker for a long time. Mrs Rainman I'm sure I can speak for others when I say we have become very fond of you. I so hope that Mr Rainman can turn his life around. My dad was an alcoholic and although I loved him the chaos of not knowing what each day would bring was very unsettling. Well done for keeping so calm and I wish you the very best. Looking forward to hearing the news of Beans arrival!
4 afds please shaggy and very well done on all you have achieved! :T
Good luck all on achieving your July targets,

Hello Candy Girl - very well done on your days af! :T
I must admit that my main motivation for cutting down is not spending money - which probably isn't the best or reasons - but whatever does the trick!

Hopefully i'll go back to just having a tipple when I go out, as I never used to drink much in the house:o:o"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
