    What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

    Living Sober.

    Chapter #7

    Using The Serenity Prayer.

    God grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change;
    courage to change the things I can;
    and wisdom to know the difference.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cyWipTrNV4

    Thank you for the serenity prayer, I have been conscious of it for some time and am now making the conscious effort to live it daily. Until recently there has been very little acceptance, courage or wisdom. I endeavour to use one if not all of these traits every day from today.

    Hi all, I need to join in again, if nobody minds.

    I am completely not on track at the moment, nothing major has happened but I'm not AF consistently. Body is bloated, skin is terrible and my mood is not too pretty.

    So I my feeble aim is to fit in one AF day this week and one next week to make it 2 for the month.

    Hope everyone is getting on ok tonight. Pen x

    Penelopedee, welcome back on board. There is always room if we all budge up. set your target and work towards it. It's perhaps not helpful to refer to your efforts as feeble.
    2 for the month is better than none for the month. One day at a time will see you achieve what you need to achieve.
    we are all rooting for you.

    Hello folks! I'm home from my course, with brainache through information overload, not wine for a change! I managed to resist the hotel bar by going to bed at 8.30 with a book! So tonight puts me on 18 please Shaggy.

    Well done for resisting, that's brilliant :j

    Welcome back Pen. I quite fancy a kindle now seeing that it is the in thing on this board! Hello 13 afds for me please shaggy and 3 for the snc please bearacus. My mum and dad picked my ds up from school for me because my dh is away so I had dinner in the slow cooker for them and mum asked me if I wanted her to bring some wine-I said 'no because I don't drink in the week anymore' so I had ginger beer and none of us had any booze. The nurse wasn't nasty at all yesterday-sorry if I gave the wrong impression-she's lovely -but she was just pointing out to me that it wasn't very healthy to drink all my units in two nights! i said to her that it was a vast improvement from about 35-40 units a week at my worst...! I need to sort my diet out a bit to get my cholestral (bad spelling!) down so why is it that I am craving chocolates and biscuits all morning!
