The website is fantastic and the simple guitar music is perfect for a Spanish house in a rustic location. I agree about the ambience, the music brings the property to life.
    Reminds me of Segovia.
Peaches, what a lovely thing to do for Seven Day Weekend.
  • I still have not been able to liik at the website as we have had visitors to stay for a week and I have not been able to get to the internet cafe..

Will go very soon - I'm dying to see it!

I think you'll be delighted. The music really is perfect for your house, in my opinion, and especially well chosen as one of your rooms has a guitar.
    Lovely house, beautiful location.
Good luck with the sale, hope it goes well for you.

I have now seen the website, it is terrific! Thanks so much!

Prospective viewer of May 8th does not have the budget and although we can drop the price by quite a lot, we can't drop it enough to match his budget as we will not be able to afford the apartment we want to buy. :( He loves the look of the house and wishes he could afford it. He is looking at some other property on May 8th, traditional houses like ours, in our area, so obviously what he wants something like ours and he will not get better for the money....but he does not have the money!

Still thinking of what to put as our reply to his e-mail telling us this. (His details were passed on to us by someone else and we e-mailed him with the info).

Any ideas? Is there any other option other than 'thanks but no thanks'?

Off the top of my head? 'so sorry you can't afford to buy our house, sure you would have loved it - bye'.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)
  • Well yes, that's the obvious answer, :) but I was hoping we may be able to persuade him to stretch his budget!!

I think your property is pretty sensibly priced at the moment, a significant price dropneeded might indicate the interested party is looking for 'castles in Spain'.

Apparently he wants a swimming pool as well.....for £100k euros.... (and where do you put a pool on a mountain)?

Edited to add: He's just e-mailed to say he still wants to view on the 8th.:j:beer:

Regard the viewing as an educational visit for him!

There'll always be time wasters and tyre kickers but, who knows, he may stretch his budget or win El Gordo at Christmas!

He may be someone who believes that all property sales in Spain are from distressed sellers and that you'll give away your house just to please him.
  • Thanks.....yes we are looking upon it as 'practice' and also if he is interested to meet us halfway with the price.

    Watch this space!
