Well, don't know. There are several scenarios. More travel definitely.
We may buy a flat and rent it out until we want to downsize.

Also remember that owning is not always the best way to "see the world" As you and others have found property is not a very liquid asset.

We're glad we had our time in rural Spain, experiencing another lifestyle and culture,and enjoyed our time there, but would not buy a home abroad (or a holiday home in the UK) again. Too much hassle.
However, as a result of our time living in a traditional Andaluz village, we now have several people (Brit, Dutch and Spanish) who we can go and stay with and have a nice holiday. :T
