Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
Yay well after a bit of a day of it yesterday (cake at work! and wine with dinner) had a WI this morning and am 2lbs down, which is probably mainly due to the exercise. So I'm pretty happy. Will help keep on track over the weekend. My goal is to be back to pre holiday weight by the end of October - this is just another 3lbs now so do-able. And to be down a stone by christmas. I'm already down 3lbs of this so only 11 to go. Totally do-able if I don't mess up. I am MOTIVATED!! Off to do a mealplan and exercise plan for next week.

For everyone else it is a really good idea to do this BTW! Good luck.

Cannot believe it!!! I am walking on air. Weighed myself this morning - another 3 lbs off - 1lb more to go to my first target weight and then another stone off for Xmas hopefully. Was up town and sneaked into the shop to try on my favourite highwaisted bootcut jeans in a smaller size but promised myself I wouldn't buy them - just checking and thought it would give me a boost if they fitted. Well they didn't fit - they were too big so tried a another size smaller and they looked great - so bought two pair - losing the lbs and the pounds. Best feeling in ages - makes it all worth it. Not that I'm depriving myself. If I can do that with food alone what could I not achieve with a bit more exercise - not just yet tho' -when the time comes!
A weekly meal plan is a great idea - I made one out last week and it makes things easier in the long run and you tend not to get caught on the hop. As I mentioned before I'm heading away to-morrow for a few days and am already planning how I will cope with that. FAIL TO PREPARE, PREPARE TO FAIL!!
angeloveschocolate - what can I say? The chocolate may have been a better option than the 2 donuts? But who knows you may have discovered a method as yet unlnown to the rest of us. lol
belfastgirl - like you I've another stone to lose- but you already have 3lbs of that off - and like you I KNOW this is doable.
Whith lots of supportive thoughts to everyone trying to lose a bit of weight. Away to look at myself in the mirror - AGAIN!!!

Eventually tore myself away from the mirror. OH took some family photos to-night and I can see from them that I have a bit to go yet. This morning's euphoria is slightly wearing off - but I did enjoy it while it lasted. Heading off to-morrow so won't be on here for few days - lots of time for you all to have some positive feedback by the time I get back! Remember at this stage it IS still doable for Xmas - don't leave it too late. good luck everyone.

  • Beanrua I'm just so pleased for you and your 3lb off, I actually caught myself with a wide grin across my face as I read your post, I could hear your delight and you deserve it. Hope Dublin was a blast and the guinness did'nt sabotage your best efforts.

Cooki, did you weigh-in today? How was your weekend?

Belfastgirl, delighted for you too, 2lbs great start.

I had my weigh-in today and, not good, no change. This sweet tooth of mine is a curse, the choc cravings are difficult to ignore and my strategy of replacing the choc with a spot of ice-cream or sommat is not really a good plan:cool:

So today is a new start. I only want 1 lb a week off so I need to find my determination and knuckle down,

Just back - had a great time in Dublin. Never realised how lovely it is. And yes I had 2 pints of Guinness!!!! it was free as part of the deal that i got, so I couldn't pass it up. Other than that I was a complete saint and stuck to the low carbs. Had a lovely meal to-day in the Jamieson distillery of seafood platter - all sorts of fish but not in batter or sauce so it was really good. Hmmmmm. I keep my weighing scales in the kitchen and they are beckoning me all evening but I'm gonna wait til to-morrow morning - I have done so much walking i must have lost something or at the very worst stayed the same. I saw some class clothes but I resisted - well not really - they were still all too small for me. Can't believe how focused I am - ~I think it's catching sight of my reflection in all those shop windows - I see a thin woman masquerading as a wee fat barrel of a woman and think to myself...... I am the master of disguise!!!! Within the next few weeks I intend to unveil the real me!!

Like you angelaloveschocolate I have no loss and no gain this week. So I got into my gym gear frist thing this morning - eventually got to gym at 2.00pm after talking to myself all morning. I had decided all along that I'd go to the gym when my weight stalled and the time had come!!! I was dreading it, but once I actually got there it was ok. Didn't do too much 20min brisk walk, 10 mins rowing and another 20 min walk. I would have left after the rowing but it was lashing rain so I stayed on. Small start but at least it's a start. Had vegs in tomato sauce topped with mashed cauliflower topped with cheese for dinner, followed by strawberries and soya vanilla yoghurt - lovely.
Well done arkonite_babe - 3lbs is great.:j How are you doing cooki and belfastgirl123 - hope you are hanging in there.:grouphug:

  • Weigh in today and even though I've 2 lbs off, I've lost all motivation. In truth I've not been totally committed at all this time round, I had hoped that three weeks in I would be past the cutting out chocolate stage and be ruthlessly cutting out all sugar and carbs. Not so!

If I hope to continue with any loss I really need to either master my diet or crank up the exercise. However, as I've had a little success I will try to battle on and hope I find my mojo.

Strange I would've thought that 2lb off would've been all the motivation that I needed.

    Sorry to be so negative.

I really hope that you are all doing well, please post as your progress is whats kept me going up until now.

Weigh in today and even though I've 2 lbs off,That is BRILLIANT - think of a bag of sugar - Gone!!!! I've lost all motivation. It happens - maybe you just need to give yourself a reminder of why you are doing this. In truth I've not been totally committed at all this time round, At least you have some insight to what the stumbling blocks are for you-I had hoped that three weeks in I would be past the cutting out chocolate stage and be ruthlessly cutting out all sugar and carbs. Not so! Maybe next week????

Some days I lose some and then stay the same for a while but slowly and surely I am getting there -I do feel better in myself already- but I have to confess - I ate chocolate cake to-day - can't believe it!! Was at a funeral and was starving and just said what the........

  • Have had a seriously foodie week - various reasons but none that justify putting on a lb! Back to the grindstone.

Well done those who are sticking with it, hoping to join you!
