I know I said i wouldn't weigh myself til to-morrow but I couldn't wait (weight?) - jumped on scales this morning and have lost nothing!! - but I noticed my clothes a bit looser and measured my waist - 2 inches off waist!! Made me more determined to stick at it. I think it is sooooo doable for Xmas. Hoping for a weight loss next week to boost my motivation.
angelalovescholate - Did you start to-day?

  • :TYay, started today. But not going to push myself too hard this week, I'm ususally more sucessful if I take it really slowly so mostly just cutting out sweet stuff this week then maybe get a bit more serious next week.

Well done Beanrua, you're gonna look amazing on this holiday and that wedding in May. Does'nt matter what the number on the scales says, you're feeling the benefits already. With continued motivation those pounds will start slipping away fast. Dont be tempted to weigh yourself again until next week its counterproductive and will only dishearten you. Keep it up, you're my inspiration as you're a week ahead of me and I'm chasing your success. LOL, no pressure:rotfl:
  • Thanks for that alc - doesn't look right when i shorten your name to alc!! - little bit disheartened have to admit as I was 100% good all week - but I know I have plenty of time to make a difference. OH lost about 5lb in the same week! I am sticking with it as I have promised myself - no more fat clothes!!!! I want my waist to be smaller than my bust - not bigger! I would love my daughter to come home at Xmas and see me looking good. Aiming for Xmas and the wedding in May. Determined to give it my best shot and stay focused. As there seems to be only me and you everybody ese must be in great shape already! Good luck and stay with it.

  • Ok day 2 and already I'm missing my chocolate :( But I've been good :) Really need to get this first week over so that my bad habits are broken. I think it'll be easier next week. Think I'll have a cadburys option hot choc drink, only 40 cals, maybe that'll stem the cravings.

    Beanrua, how are you today?

    Anyone else out there?
  • Doing ok angelaloveschocolate and well done to you for getting a good 2 days under your belt. Been great to-day and am even surprising myself now by having a cup of green tea with lemon instead of a glass of wine!! Had porridge this morning, omelette at lunch and prawns with veggies for dinner - no bread, no spuds and no chips. I really, really miss my chips, especially chip butties! But i'm staying focused.

  • beanrua, have you thought about slimmingworld chips? I always think that its the salt and vinegar thats most important when having chips anyway. Here's a link to the reciepe, http://www.slimmingworld.com/recipes/syn-free-chips.aspx . HTH Angela
  • What a great link - even reading about chips does me good - I've heard others say that these are gorgeous and I'll definitely try them as a special treat when i see some sort of loss on the scales. have you thought about dark chocolate - I know it's low in carbs but not sure about the calories

  • The chips are fine, but then again I'm not a big fan so I'm probably the wrong person to ask. Oh, and I dont boil them just zap them in the mw and they still turn out ok. DH nevers complains anyway, lol.

Tried the dark choc........... but, its just not dairy milk. Never mind will allow myself a treat at the weekend because we still have to live, right?

Have to stop talking food now, because its making me hungry:rotfl:

Goodluck for another successful day tomorrow.

    G'nite, Angela
  • Bit naughty today, I blame my DH, he bought me a twirl bar and a packet of m&ms. What could I do, it would've been rude to refuse them!

Ah well, I did say that week one I would go easy on myself so I'll start again tomorrow.

Anyone else got an update? How have you been Beanrua?
