Weighed myself yesterday 89.5kg so about 14st 1 nearly, last weigh in was 4 weeks ago and was clocking 94kg on the scales, want to shed another 10kg of fat, doing a very good program (www.stronglifts.com) starts off very easy and you progress along adding weight every work-out this is my 2nd time trying it, first time worked a charm then got a few injurys and moved out so was eating crap all the time, but got my diet back on track nearly haha.

Ideal weight would be about 12stone but i doubt il get that low prob get down to 13stone but hoping to eliminate the belly and neck fat haha happy enough with arms/shoulders and legs

Reading this thread has inspired me to get off my b..t and do something. I need to lose about 1 stone and a half. I've a holiday booked for November and my daughter is coming home for Xmas and she doesn't realise the weight I have put on. Both good enough incentives. Will give some thought to-night as to how I am going to go about this. Any advice and tips welcome and well done to everyone who is trying to do something to lose a bit of weight.

Ok I've decided to go the low carb way. Just cutting out bread, potatoes and a lot of processed food. Think this will suit me as i like salads, veg, brown rice etc. My downfall isn't sweet stuff but chips, chips and more chips, so if i need to I will have a small amount of oven chips from time to time. I've done this before with fairly good results. I just need to plan a few days in advance and stay focused. I am determined this time. I have a wedding to go to in May and I want to buy a lovely dress out of Fresh Garbage to wear to it. I'll take it pound by pound or kg by kg.Will only weigh myself once a week, more if I can hold out.

Welcome aboard. I had intended starting last Sunday but was invited out for Sunday lunch!! Really started from Tuesday morning. Been fine. just need to be focused and plan a bit more. No bread or processed foods. bit early to weigh myself again but definetly less bloated. Determined this time - because i'm worth it.

  • That's 5 full days now and doing ok - taking it one day at a time- not hungry and eating really healthy - and taking plenty of water. Not done any real exercise though - intend to do something about that next week. sunday dinner to-morrow with having to cook for all the family may prove slightly difficult but I've planned for that and hoping i can get through it without giving in. No bread, processed foods and no potatoes. tried it before with good results . Weigh in again on Tuesday. How's everyone else doing? Let's support each other and get ourselves in shape for Xmas - it's doable!!

  • Ok, count me in, def starting monday. Managed to start 'being good' this time last year and got off a stone and a half. Sorry to say a fair bit of that is back on now. :( So Christmas is the target, yep, we can do it. The secret is planning, making sure there is plenty of good quality healthy food at home.

Beanrua, I'm so envious of your weeks head start on me, because thats the hardest part, getting started:)

Need to do this for my DH, he needs weight off even more than me so I want to encourage him also. Yeah I can do this and glad to have this support network. :)

Bigmoo, are you in too? You going to get that a**e in gear with us?
