Wow cooki I am impressed!!! You should certainly lose weight with that impressive regime - I genuinely hope so. I wish I was that active - it may hasten my weight loss. Well - i can't understand it but I have somehow gained a pound - and I was a complete saint - honest!!!. Can be quite de-motivating that unexpected weight gain but I suppose it happens. I can find no reason for it. However, I shall battle on in the face of adversity and I feel like ignoring my scales for a while - huffing, and see how they like that!!! Maybe the initial weight loss is now slowing down and not so easy to shift. I am still thrilled that I have lost a stone in a relatively short time so maybe the next stone will take twice as long!! I don't know - but I do know that I still have enough time left to get rid of this stone before Xmas. and that is exactly what I intend to do.
Hopw you are all doing well - please let me know as I get support from seeing how you are all doing.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
Well have lost the lb that I put on so pleased enough with that. I still need to lose another 3lb by end of month to keep to my target of being back to my pre holiday weight but I think that's do-able with a bit of care. I've just been working on my mealplan and exercise plan for the week ahead. If I can I'm going to kick the exercise up a notch just to help me reach this goal and add in a few classes. I put a skirt on yesterday that I've never been able to wear cos it's too tight and it fits beautifully. I've tried it on before at or around this weight and I'm putting the improvement down to the types of exercise I've been doing.
I'm kind of pleased with myself that I'm still feeling focused. My usual pattern is to lose weight over the spring and summer, then put it all back on plus a few lbs more over the autumn and winter. I feel like I'm managing to break that this year. No matter what, I need to be a stone down from where I am now if I'm thinking about good health. So that's my goal. Even if I don't get there for Christmas I'll be there for the spring.
Glad to hear you are all keeping on track. Beanrua if you've been doing everything right then it not showing up on the scales is a minor hiccup (maybe you ate something salty without realising it the night before you weighed in). If you keep doing the right things it will show up. And I bet you can feel the difference in your clothes etc. Good luck for weighing in ALC.
We WILL have a good week ahead.0 -

Oh dear, pity about your ankle Cooki, hope its not too serious. I'm so impressed with your exercise plan and overall determination, I've full confidence for your success.
Belfastgirl, also impressed with your determination, wow, i wish it would rub off on me! I think your comment to Beanrua about salty food is interesting and I never would have thought of that but I can see how it would make a difference. We also need to consider 'time of the month' as a factor, dont know about anyone else, but I retain water. Sorry, if any men are reading:(
I'm still trying to get into my stride but it just doesn't seem to be happening for me. Will weigh in on Monday but not expecting much. But even if there's no loss I will still continue on, so don't count me out just yet I'm not ready to give up:)
Overall after 3 weeks I've three lbs off, Beanrua over 4 weeks you've a stone off. So pleased for you beanrua, you're an inspiration!
Will post back again on Monday with the weigh-in results. God that sounds like the x-factor results.:rotfl:

1 lb on, hardly surprising as I've struggled from the onset. Do I give up? Do I start again?
Not prepared to quit just yet. Will dust myself down and start again tomorrow.
Ho hum, hope you all are doing better than me, and if you're not let me know so that I'm not the only straggler on here:rotfl:0 -

Your determination angelaloveschocolate is admirable - but I am wondering if you have chosen the best method of losing weight for you. If you have chosen a method that is tried and tested and you have stuck to it for a few weeks you should be seeing some weight loss. If I was you I'd probably be looking at other weight loss methods. Different strokes for different folks - some plans work well for some people and not so well for others.
Glad to read the tip about salt - although I don't touch the stuff I am aware that it may be hidden in some foods.
My weight didn't budge for a while there but suddenly I've lost another 2.5lbs. It's like it stays the same for a while and then one day there is a nice surprise - it's just staying motivated while it is static. I'm enjoying trying on old clothes that I thought would never fit me again. ~I still have a quite a bit to lose yet but I am promising myself I will never put it on again. I only intend doing this once!!!!
How's everyone else doing? What about your ankle Cooki? Are you back at the gym? Belfast girl - how's it going with you?Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
