Im alive sorta haha.
Ankle is still bit sore aint played on it since I hurt it thou, gonna give it a few more weeks prob.
Been out of action since last tuesday with cold/flu now have periodontitis around one of my wisdom teeth so the antibiotics making me tired so didnt go climbing last night was just too tired!! Il be making a fresh start after halloween, weight is still sitting just under 14stone as I had lost my appetitie last week.0 -
Tips from me ha ha. I have lived by an app on my phone and everything that pass my mouth gets logged on "my fitness pal", I also use another app for walking which is "noom" and that logs my walking and calories burned via gps its great. I lost all my weight between may and september but I have now stopped losing, I have def been less strict with my eating.
I have signed up to a local "biggest Loser" which starts in a few weeks. Fingers crossed I get some pounds shed on this. I have been so down today, I have a formal evening event to go to and nothing suitable in my wardrobe will zip up. I am now having to go out and buy a new dress that I won't even want to fit into again - tut tut.“A house is made of walls and beams;a home is built with love and dreams.”2012 Challenge to buy most gifts and non essentials from money made online.:money:0 -
hey Cooki, good to see you back. Sorry to hear that you're not been well, hope you're back to yourself soon.
I've had (in my opinion) a good week! But the best I can expect is to stay the same at weigh-in in Monday. As long as I dont gain, fingers crossed.
I'm impressed with your plans, Mypie, and looking forward to hearing all about 'biggest loser' so please keep us all up to date, wont you?
Have a good weekend everyone, Angela. x0 -
Welcome back cookie and well done on not gaining over such a difficult time. and Angela, well done on holding on!! Mypie I know how you feel about buying clothes in a size where you are determined not to need to wear them again, it's really frustrating. Could you borrow or hire something?? Or even buy something that could be easily taken in? Just a thought.
As for me, well I think my goal of being at my pre holiday weight by the end of October isn't going to be quite done (I'm just over 1lb off it at the minute), but I have lost an average of 1lb a week over the month which isn't bad at all considering I've had a lot going on and a lot of excuses to eat. Of my post holiday resolutions I have stuck to a few, mostly to keep up the exercise (proud of this one as my gym buddy has been out of action for most of the month) and to try to be organised about my eating. Reducing my drinking has worked albeit I'm still drinking more than I should if I want to lose weight. If I can keep up losing 1lb a week between now and Christmas that will leave me at 10.7 which I haven't been since 2004!! And I think it will be a healthier weight than it was then since a lot of it will be muscle. In fact I know i'm gaining muscle and definition, I can see and feel it, and this probably makes it a little harder to actually see a loss of lbs as well.
As a big woohoo I measured myself a few days ago and have lost 2.5 ins off my hips, 3ins off my waist and nothing off my bust (phew!!) since I last measured . My size 16 trousers now look crazy on me but the 14s are still tight. So I really need to have a good week this week!
Will do my mealplan and exercise plan tomorrow morning. Good luck everyone!0 -
Welcome mypie - you are in good company. No pressure -just sound sensible advice and a bit of support.
Well my few days away really told a tale and I was so good!!! Yet I put one 2.5 lbs!!! And I stuck to my diet!!! I can only put it down to a couple of things;
1 I didn't drink much water
2. I drank some wine
I dread to think what would've happenend if I hadn't been focused!!!!! I had all this food set down to me and I refused desserts. Honest!! and I thought I stuck to it really well and yet 2.5 lbs on. Just shows you need to be vigilant at all times.
belfastgirl and cooki and angeloveschocolate - you are all doing great!!!! Honestly you will be ok if you stay as focused as you are right now. I am going to be very strict with myself over the next few days to catch up again!!! Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!!!Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
:rotfl::rotfl:Well last week was my best week by far for a long time. Meal planning really helped. And for the first time I felt in the groove, did'nt struggle as I had'nt any choccie cravings. Yay.
Weigh in yesterday and 1 lb off., Emmmm, only 1lb off, ah well, a loss is a loss, at least its not a gain.
But then................
Yesterday was Halloween, and you all know what we're like up here in the North West. cadburys 'Scream' eggs at work, so I had one. Ok, so thats only a treat for halloween.
But then .............
I opened a tin of cadburys Roses for the trick or treaters and had a wee handfull for myself. Ok, ok keep calm Angela, its only a blip, I can start again tomorrow.
But then...............
This morning, my day off, I took a mid-morning break from the housework to have a cup of tea and finished off the chocolate....a snickers and a toffee crisp:eek:
Good job breaking a diet isn't a criminal offence or I'd be looking at the death sentence.:rotfl:
You know what, I don't even feel bad. The chocolate is now finished and I'm not gonna buy anymore. So I'll start again tomorrow and hope that nexts weeks weigh-in is sympathic to my weakness and lack of willpower.;)
Beanrua, I cant believe one glass of wine was responsible for your 2.5lb gain. Surely there must be other factors, water retention, bloating, anything but surely not a single glass of wine, that would be very cruel of mother nature:mad:. I'm sure its just one of those fluctuations that'll even itself out over the next week, after all you have been so good.
Well done Belfastgirl on dropping a full size, genuinely delighted for you.
Cookie, you feeling better? Mypie how are you, looking forward to hearing from you all.
I'm off now to take Beanrua's advice, fail to prepare and all that, so better do a shopping list.
Healty eating, Angela. x0 -
Yay Angela, great that you had a good week, and 1lb off is excellent, well done!
I'm pottering about, doing fine on the exercise but if I'm honest eating a bit too much, especially snacking during the day. And I had a bit of a crazy drinking night on saturday night which didn't help. I'm still eating well, just too much to have any kind of decent weight loss. So I'm pretty much staying the same at the minute. I think I also need a good week - you've inspired me Angela!
Did everyone else get over halloween ok??0 -
angelaloveschocolate - I can quite understand your puzzlement over my weight gain relating to one glass of wine - but I have to admit it was quite a bit more than one glass!!! Anyway I seem to be hovering round the same - no great damage done but not great loss to report - although I have to say I have got into some clothes to-day that were so tight a few months ago I had given up on ever wearing them again. So glad you felt in the groove and 1lb is 1lb!!! - you are sounding so much more positive - you're convincing me that you can do this!!!
belfastgirl -you always seem to do well on the exercise front - I haven't even got there yet - heading to Lanzarote in November so I'm trying really hard. Pleased with myself so far but now I seem to be stalling - but will stick at it - I like this feeling of being thinner - and I am not totally repelled at seeing my reflection in a window/mirror any more!!!!
Arkonitebabe -how was your latest weigh-in???
cooki and mypie - how are you getting on?
I will stick to low carb and hope I have a weight-loss to report soon.
Take care everyone and I hope you are all losers!!!!!!Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
Started back climbing on monday and went again yesterday, all ive really done so far, weight stayed the same through out thou, as still aint got my full appetite back yet, spose thats a good thing in some ways haha, il be back to eating like a horse soon hopefully
so just sitting under 14stone now0 -
I'm almost there!!! After a week of up's and downs, I'm now 5.5 lbs off my end target weight, hopefully in time for my hol in Lanzarote next week!!! I was away at weekend and staying with a friend whose food I couldnt refuse as I was starving - just tried to think of damage limitation and ate enough to get rid of the hunger pangs.I always find it difficult trying to stick to it when in other people's houses as I don't want to offend them. Everything in moderation - there's a difference in going slightly off the rails and on the other hand saying oh well that's it then no more dieting. One or two days eating the wrong stuff can easily be remedied. I even had some chips - I just didn't eat 2 bags of them!!
How are you all doing!! - still lots of time before you know what!!!Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0
