Back to post in an 'I have sinned' way. Not terribly but had a foodie weekend where a lot of different social obligations came along at once. I managed to stick hopefully to maintenance calories yesterday and still came in a bit under calories today but I'm going to bed hungry to achieve that. Still it was nice
I had really excellent cake yesterday.
I'm now 5lb towards my Feb goal of 7lbs offjust need a final push to keep going.
And well done Beanrua, piglet and Wanchai you are proving that it can be done. Maybe next year we'll have a 'lost weight and keeping it off' thread instead
How's everyone else doing??0 -
I actually made it to aerobics on Thursday and am still feeling the pain!! Friday and Saturday going downstairs or sitting down on the loo was almost out of the question!! Think I'll only start to feel ok again in time to go back on Thursday lol! Hubby says this can't be good for you and thinks I shouldn't go back but hey no pain no gain right? (Think I may have over exerted myself however as was first class in over 14 years!!) Only had 1lb off at WI on Friday but I was expecting a bit of a slow down (still v annoying though as I had been really good all week!) This thread is great, nice to know I'm not alone in this and very inspiring to read all the success stories and comforting to know it's not just me that falls off the wagon from time to time lol! Keep it up everyone - here we go with another week, another chance for maximum success, a clean sheet to draw a line under the sins of the weekend!!Life's a box of beads - rainbow coloured and full of surprises!:D0

Just to reassure you, I do a lot of exercise and if I do a new class I'm in serious pain for at least one day afterwards if not two. I know exactly the pain you're talking about btw, it's the thigh muscles that won't let you sit on the loo and then won't let you get upthank god we have a disabled loo at work. So this is totally normal. If you can it's worth trying to warm the muscles up a bit beforehand - I found the bike very good for thigh muscles. And ibuprofen is your friend - it's the recommended one for post-exercise pain since it reduces inflammation in the muscles.
But don't give up, it's never as bad again as the first time. And well done you for going!!0 -

Hi all
I had an almost STS this week (0.5lb off) but was happy with that, as I ate a bit too much at the weekend (foodie/social weekend, same as belfastgirl23)Back on the shakes now for breakfast and lunch, and being v. disciplined, so am hoping to continue the downward trend! The wedding is only 20 WEEKS away  so I am determined to lose an average of 1lb per week!
wow, well done you!!
i know....i am being told on a daily basis now, to stop and not go too far....i do chuckle to myself....as technically....i am still obese!!!:rotfl:
Ignore those people, they do not necessarily have your best interests at heart! beanrua is right - some will be simply jealous!
Oh and WELL DONE on your latest 3lb loss :T it must be such a thrill to be out of the obese weight range!! :j You will make it to your target!Oh I am so happy for you all :j:j:j- you are all doing amazingly well - I can practically feel your happiness.:T:T:T There are different kinds of people out there - those who support you, those who are jealous , those who are envious and those who are genuinely pleased for you! I've met them all and the only one that matters is you!!!!!!
I lost weight for me! and I'm so pleased that at long last I've lost my pregnancy gain - albeit 26 years after my last pregnancy!!!!
Stay strong and stay focused - just bought my first bikini in yonks - and I just love seeing myself in any reflective surface now instead of cringing with shame. I look years younger and have loads of energy and generally never felt better. Perhaps my new found self confidence is running away with me - but I don't care. I intend to stay this way - and I keep a photo of myself at my fattest in constant view so I don't forget what I have achieved. Good luck and stick at it.
Oh, I am so chuffed for you! :A You sound so happy and excited - almost giddy! And you deserve to feel that way. Don't ever forget how great it feels (my weight crept on gradually, so it was a while before I noticed - now I wish I had nipped it in the bud earlier).belfastgirl23 wrote: »Back to post in an 'I have sinned' way. Hi Wanchai, it's great to have a goal in mind other than just being less porky
you keep going and keep focusing on how great you're going to look.
I've actually had a very good and focused week despite the fact that there were multiple temptations around me. Giving up chocolate and alcohol actually knocks out a lot of possibilities for sliding off the wagon and I'm grateful for it. I did have three biscuits yesterday though but made them small ones
I am a tiny squeak off my 7lb goal this morning (.1 of a lb frustratingly).
I'm just debating now whether to go for another 7lb in March. It's a slightly longer month so in theory should be easier, but I'm just not sure if I can keep going at this level for another whole month. It would leave me pretty close to my interim target though and just half a stone away from being 'normal' on the BMI calculator. And while I'm away for a few days nothing too long or calorie laden I hope
What about everyone else, how are you getting on??0 -
:j2.5lbs off this week...:j
got my 5 stone award last nite, (grand total of 5 stone 1lb)
16lbs to target now:eek:0 -
STS this week
I've been so good too!!! The only slip up was a few vodkas on Saturday night. I'm so disappointed.
But I'm going to keep going!!! I tried on my wedding dress again today (well, the sample) and it defo feels more comfortable than it did 6 weeks ago, so that's a step in the right direction

Ain't that the truth!! I'm off all sweet stuff for Lent and it's shocking how mindlessly we can eat sometimes! I had bene eating less junk but the odd sweet would have sneaked in... so now that I'm eating none it's very noticeable how easily my hand would usually reach for something fattening.
Wow, well done on your 2lb loss!!! Never mind that 0.1lb - seriously, that's 45g!!!!!!!! Woo hoo! :T:j2.5lbs off this week...:j

Hi everyone
great to hear the good news stories, keep them coming!
A mixed week for me last week, I was away from home for a bit and ate like billy-o but got back on the wagon pretty fast when I got back resulting in another 1.5lb lossnow sitting at 10.11 and hoping to get down to around 10.5 for the end of the month. Will have to keep working hard though! This is the point in weight loss where my motivation often starts to wane so I'm really working hard on keeping my determination up. Hopefully your success stories will help!
Here's to a good week for us all.0 -
Hi Everyone, great to read about everyone's amazing efforts which seem to be paying off big style! I just had a pound off last week which I was a bit
about at first, but then realised that's twice as much as I lost the week before and at the end of the day if I lost a pound every day for a year that would be over 3 1/2 stone off!! Went back to aerobics on Thursday and managed to stretch myself sufficiently without killing myself this time, hopefully old body is getting more used to this rather than being in complete shock at the change in activity rate like the first week!! Have bought one of those gym balls too and trying to use it while watching tv (but spending most of the time falling off the damn thing at the moment!!) Have a great week everyone x
