Don't suppose any of you folks know what happened that Esporta @ Holywood Exchange is now Virgin? I was going to join a while ago but an old injury surfaced before I signed the forms so I've not been up there since they changed hands.0

Got back to pre-christmas weight for about a day then started putting on again
but back on the wagon again now. How's everyone else doing??
Caz you might be as well starting a new thread or looking for a gym thread on the NI board, sorry I don't know anything about Esporta/virgin.0 -
Stayed the same weight for a few weeks and then really focused hard and it's going but very, very slowly - last few pounds to go and they are def hard to shift.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0

Hello  I've been on the site ages but only just discovered this thread! After giving up smoking 6 months ago I put on at least a stone. For a while I 'allowed' this as better than fags but new year new start, enough is enough!! Joined weightwatchers online last week (offer at the moment, no joining fee if you pay 3 months membership up front!) and had first weigh in yesterday. Delighted to see 5lb off!! I do realise this is mainly fluid and loss rate will slow dramatically but so pleased with myself anyway lol! Will trawl through the pages later to get some tips from you guys but just thought I'd pop up and say hi!Life's a box of beads - rainbow coloured and full of surprises!:D0

Hi Rach39 and welcome. You've done well to stop the cigs and if you can do that you can do anything.
So glad to be able to say that I have achieved my target weight - overall loss of 2 stone - the last 4 lbs were stubbornly refusing to go - since before Xmas - but they are now gone!!!!!:j:jTreat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
Yay Beanrua :j:T:j:T delighted for you. You can be my new inspiration!
Hi and welcome RachI have lost about a stone and a half in total and am looking to lose another stone and then reassess whether that might be goal or not (that would leave me around 10 stone which I haven't been for years). My current goal is to lose half a stone in Feb and I'm 2lb down at the minute. Although I could eat like crazy today, just having one of those days I guess.

Hi all! I need to lose 1.5 stone for my upcoming wedding. I'm 10st6lbs atm (and only 5'3" so I look like a right chubster), and am very down about it. I've been having laser lipo on my saddlebags (will evaluate if it's working after the 6th session, they measure me every time).
Also, I have just this morning started a whey protein regime, I'll be having shakes for breakfast and lunch and then a proper dinner in the evening (bit like Slimfast but better nutrition-wise, and there's green tea extract in the powder as well). I hope that I can stick to it! The thought of being a fat bride scares the hell out of me, but the wedding's still 5 months away so I'm not feeling enough pressure yet! I can't leave it till the last minute, I've got to act now if I'm going to lose the weight in time. Can I join in? xx
Rach39 - massive well done on giving up the cigs, that shows amazing willpower

Thanks for the encouragement everyone! I really feel I'm 'in the zone' now and don't even have any inclination to stray so fingers crossed!! You are all well ahead of me and have done brilliantly - some amazing weight loss stories on here! The only meal I have trouble with is lunch, i'm trying to avoid bread except v occasionally and other than wee pots of salad (which can get a bit boring after a while!) there's not a lot of options that I can eat at my desk in work! So... salad bowl it is oh yum yum!!Life's a box of beads - rainbow coloured and full of surprises!:D0
