I'm confused with all the good/bad fruit... I love fruit! just had 0% greek yoghurt with bluberries for breakfast... is it bad? I like "sweet" things for breakfast and it's hard to switch to eggs/meat for me... But I think I start to understand it now... Is pinapple bad then?
I also recall a book that was a free gift with Cosmo couple of months ago: Neris and India's Idiot-proof Diet
I have read it and even did the "diet" for two weeks but didn't loose any weight as I just had much too much peanut butter I think...
But it's a great book and does a good job in support and motivation... I threw it awaybut will buy it again as it had so many great info and all the food lists there... I think it's pretty much what Eric means but it's very low carb(will just add some carbs and should be fine...)
My plan is prawn stir fry for lunch and turkey slices with soft cheese+veg for dinner, will stick to 3 meals a day, coffee if I want some sweets and dark chocolate in the drawer for emergencies when I'm about to grab as many bisquits as I can see... no peanut butter for me as I can't stop eating it
correct me if there is anything wrong in my thinking...
Off I go to catch up with my gym workouts(missed two days) and then an hour of swimming... Haven't been good the last two days so I need to work harder now as I don't want to dissappoint lolly on Wednesday
Eric, thanks for all your posts too, you're a star! :T
PS. My other half is not a "feeder"I'm the pig and feed myself all the bad things...

Hi, I am new to the 5lb loss per month challenge. Is the chart post 779 by fredsnail? Does this person enter me on? If so is it next Wednesday? Thanks.
Hi Danny, I've added you to the chart ready for next week.
Just post any gain or loss or STS (stay the same) when you next weigh in and I'll add that to the chart. If for some reason you miss posting the result before the chart is done (it's normally done around 10pm on a Wednesday evening) still post the result and that it was for last week and I'll add it to the chart so you'll be correct for the following week.
Welcome to the thread - we're a friendly bunch so keep posting :j0 -

Yo Eric. If you're as big as you say you are, how can you run so fast? I mean, I'm not big but can't run that fast :rotfl:Now, what's the science behind that one eh? :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES:

Ok, back from gym/swimming... Done 30 floors on the stairmaster and it's 1 km
2 miles on the bike, some rowing and 30 x 50m swimming
did have my prawns stir fry (yummy) but also some dark chocolate for dessert
I'm quite happy with myself anyway and just need to keep going0 -

blueberries are great, there GI 40 so a slow release sugar and there 14g of carbs per 100g of blueberries, so if your sticking to a sensible 100g of carb a day and you split that into 3 meals you could comfortably have 200g of blueberries each breakfast, about £1.80 worth in sainsburys
oh and there a superfood0 -

i am 265lbs .... still an improvement over 478 lol
i have massive leg muscles, 48" hips with 20mm of fat on the skin fold calipers and 20" calf muscles with 5mm of fat, i guess being 6' 1" gives me a long stride as well.
and slowly slowly i am conditioning myself, that's one thing i love about treadmills that little 0.1 mph increase each run makes a big difference to your health and performance over a couple of months, you just cant do that road running.
I said to my OH today I am actually fitter now than I have ever been in my life, even when i was training days a week i only used to run 2 miles at a pace of a mile every 10 mins0 -
fredsnail - thanks for the reply and welcome.0

Fred, can you add 350ft. to the exercise challenge. Cheers.
I felt so happy today. I remember before my lickle cousins calling me fat (obviously they're kids so you can't feel that offended), and today my cousin (who is currently about 7) offered me pringles and I'm like 'sorry, I can't have it, can you not see how huge my tummy is?' and at this point im pointing to my tummy and he's like 'no, you're not fat, your tummy is small'. That was worth alot to me. I think I would have cried a bit if he said 'yeh it's big' as it would have meant all that effort and nothing showing. I mean don't get me wrong, all my family members tell me im the perfect size now and not to lose anymore and everyones commenting on how much weight i've lost, and i can see a difference in terms of clothes (having to buy new ones lol) and measurements and also weight, but i guess i needed that little kid perspective to give me that extra boost.
On the other hand, if i pointed to my thighs, im pretty sure it would be a whole different story. :rotfl:0
