Minnie and Alliwant - How effective is the Bio Oil? I've often wondered if it's worth trying.

To be honest I have brought the Aldi equivalent which is on weekly special occasionally in the store. I think it has made difference but I cannot be 100% about my tummy as it is a bit of a war zone  But it made a huge difference on a burn scar I had on my right wrist that I did on my 21st birthday :T

Fred- can you add 9.5 miles to my eurovision total please ?

Just on a funny side note ..... I weighted myself quickly sunday morning before going away for a night and I lost 1 stone very quickly by my OH holding my breasts :o But I don't think I can get him to follow me around all day or count it as a loss :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

thanks for your comment ok i will set my goal half of it but really this is my first time and i am not going to give up because of my disabled son i cant join gym and also cant go for jogging if you have any suggestion you are well come. and i am not on any diet can any body help me that please....

For exercise you could get some exercise DVDs from Amazon - the older ones are quite cheap. Rosemary Conelly does some good ones to get you started or if you want something a bit harder Davina's ones are pretty good too. They both do work outs on their DVDs for people of different levels of fitness so you can follow the easier or harder ones depending on how you feel.

The best thing is possibly not to go on a diet as such but to make long term changes to make what you're eating as healthy as possible. Make healthier choices, reduce sugar and bad fats and eat more vegetables etc and cut out chocolate & biscuits as much as you can.

ooh that must have felt good :T

Indeed it was - we got talking about it (I was sorting out their pc issues hence why I didn't see them for a while) and she offered me a brew.. must have offened her for the 1st time when I said thanks but no thanks :p

We got talking about clothes etc and it did make me think that I used to have a 42 inch jeans. Horriable thought I know to think of a large size like that (so glad they have be sent to charity shops a long while ago) still, I got 2 pairs of size 38 jeans, and my goal as well as loosing this weight, is to get into them size 36 jeans in the next drawer down on the chest. (Got these a while ago to focus my mind on getting into them - which is a good thing as my current sets are starting to get tatty :rotfl:)

Midday weigh in after this - static weight from 2 days ago.. so here to hoping when I get up tomorrow evening (am working silly hours this late evening) I will have lost some more... gone down another notch on the belt. Got no more holes left on this leather belt - so nail and hammer and make some more new holes :D

Oh, I got to ask though - while I was at friends house, her son said he was in size 32 inch jeans and he is skinny. I am wondering does anyone know if I hit the 13st magic number what sort of waist size this would be? (so can start buying in some new clothes come nearer the time [organic ones as I am a hippy at heart lol])

    Hi lolly101
thanks for your comment ok i will set my goal half of it but really this is my first time and i am not going to give up because of my disabled son i cant join gym and also cant go for jogging if you have any suggestion you are well come. and i am not on any diet can any body help me that please....

I think that Fred's advice is spot on, a simple diet of good, healthy food is just as good as any diet plan (and much less complicated to figure out!). As for the exercise - Dvds or wii fitness games are good for doing when you have a spare moment (I use mine in the evening when the kids have been packed off to bed!).
You can also get some pieces of exercise equipment really cheaply on eBay. Bikes, steppers, etc can go for as little as 99p! I bought a lateral thigh trainer for 99p from someone in my area, and it only ended up being a few streets away so hardly cost anything in petrol.

Ooh, that is impressive!! There's hope for me yet! My skin actually coped better than it should have done over my pregnancy, as not only did I have a huge baby belly, but I went from a size 10 to an 18  there is definitely room for improvement though, so will have to give it a go.

OK, I failed the Eurovision challenge. :o I only settled down on my bike at 11.45pm (and had less distance on there than I thought!) so was never going to make it. I'm adding 19.3 km, which makes a total of 71 miles. I may try and do the rest tomorrow, but I probably won't as I tend to see things as a pass or a fail, so finishing late is pointless as it's still a fail (if that makes sense???), it would also set me behind for June's challenge as I want to start that tomorrow.

Congratulations to everyone who finished the challenge, and good luck for anyone weighing in tomorrow.

Not yet but I will. Most of us have come down with a cold and sore throat. My 2 year old caught it first and has passed it round. He, however, is back to his naughty self :rotfl:while the rest of us are sniffling away. Thanks son :rotfl:

Fred, can you please add 12.5miles to the challenge. And i think that's me done. :D Also can you add me to the exercise challenge and 5 lbs challenge. I think I'm going to go with 2 sets climbing. I realised that if I went with distance then I'd easily be able to do 100 sets lol. I'd do more sets, but i don't like failing :p and i know the last few days of june are going to be hectic preparing for my holiday.

    getting tough :rotfl:

STS for me this week, to be expected I am back on the weights hardcore after a 2 month break for my injured shoulder, heavy resistance training always seams to increase water retention, but in all the right places.

I do seam to be stalled at the 30-31% body fat range thou, cant seam to break out of being obese, i wonder how much the excess skin is skewing the readings?
