A lady at my gym blames her twin boys for her weight gain. I asked how old they are. She said, "16"! I said, "Ah! sweet, 16 months". She said, "No, 16 years!" :rotfl:SECRET TO WINNING PRIZES

I think WW is for those of us who are lazy about the science - the plan is a sort of line of best fit. I've not been around this board for a couple of years so don't know you Eric but from the couple of posts I've read, it seems like you are remarkably clued up about the science of food and have made it work for you because you know what is in what and how it fits your routine.
I'm a lazy git.. just joined a month ago to see how that line of best fit works for meEric_Pisch wrote: »weight watchers make it up as they go along imo

Eric, thanks for all your answers! Very very kind of you...
Hope you won't mind if I ask some more questions later as I need to sit down and think what might work for me...
Regarding the challenges: where can I find info about what is going on atm?
Only know about the -5lb/month one and I will take part(not today as I only started yesterday; but its -0,4kg just from yesterday so I hope it will go down really well... so 82.9kg for the start)
What other challenges are there?
Thanks0 -

I eat a fair few natures valley bars (granola), i profiled my blood on them and my blood sugar does not exceed 5.8 on them, there 28g of carbs with the majority of it coming from rolled oats which is low GI. I dont get carb cravings after eating them either.

I bought 100 boxes from sainsburys when they where half price, which works out at 20p a bar
That's what I've been doing - avoiding carbs. Was probably on 50-60g a day, so no wonder I found it so difficult!
I've tried those Nature Valley bars before but would never have thought of buying them as, if I remember correctly, one of the main ingredients is sugar... I have so much to learn! I'm assuming that the oats, as they are the majority, kind of slow down the effects of the sugar, which lowers the overall gl of the bar? if that makes sense?
How do you figure out what is low gi and what isn't with foods like that? Is it a case of trial and error, or is there any way of working it out using the ingredients and/or nutritional info?0
