Did anyone see super size ambulance last night, really gave me a kick up the BUM

I watched it with great interest because it was filmed around places that I know. One of the hospitals was Southend, which is our local hospital.

I was also very interested in the statement that one-quarter of adults in this country are now classified 'obese'. That's shocking and it explains all the wobbling bellies I see everywhere I go, all ages and both sexes. You did not use to see so many even a few years ago.

The people filmed were, as the ambulance crew said, not usually seen. They can only come out when they're taken to hospital for different appointments. What a God-awful life.

The poor man who had surgery for his hernia died on 23rd April this year.

I looked on this for the definition of 'obese' and yes, it's me folks. My BMI is 32.2 but it's on the way down and has come down over the past year. So keep on going!

    Morning everyone :)

I had a great weekend away at my friends birthday party. They hired a gymnastics gymnasium so I got to play on all the gym equipment. Including a bouncy castle and trampoline :j I had so much fun until I attempted to stop on the trampoline and get off. I somehow managed to go over on my ankle after getting my foot stuck down the edge.
So my big question should be after 2 days should I still be trying to rest it or should I try going for a run on it today ?

Vix - Well done on getting your start date. Did it feel good handing in your notice ?

I'm going to do that tomorrow! The boss wasn't in today, but i couldnt resis telling a few people :o

Hows the ankle? I'd take it easy and give it time to heal without letting it completely seize up. Thats the trouble with trampolines, your body still thinks your on it when you get off!! Easily done.

most obese people are healthy, in fact overweight people live longer than any other weight group, most obese people look normal

its not helpful that the WHO are using BMI which is basically utter !!!!!!!! :D

% body fat all the way :) slap anyone who mentions BMI

OK, Eric. I don't know what my % body fat is!!!

I'm not quite 5 ft tall and I weigh 11 1/4 stones. That makes me 'obese' according to the definition I quoted. To be 'overweight' i.e. not obese, I should get down to 10 1/2 stones. That's what I'm trying to do.

It can be a little but tricky to work out, you can buy scales that give % body fat and some of the more expensive ones (about £50) are pretty accurate, i believe some chemists have machines as well.

The best guide thou is just looking at yourself, on the proviso you dont have some type of body dismorphia etc of course
