Hello Eric,
Thanks for your reply on the previous page. Also I found your reply to Freudianslip very helpful.
Reading it I realised that:
- what I know to be a natural response of a body trying to accumulate fat, I had named greed.
- my binging after just the one day of low carbing was fighting back but I named it being weak willed.
All good insights hey?
Have you ever come across a protein shake without sucralose or any artificial sweetener - or would they be unpalatable without?
I really can't stomach those sweeteners. I tried the Atkins one but that has sucrolose and I found the after-taste just horrible. I know most are marketed as being without after-taste, and as soon as I mention this my friends say 'try this one, it's just like sugar' but I can always taste it.
Or if looking for a shake without sweetener is a blind alley, would you have any suggestions for an alternative? Am I really talking about an egg-white omelette?
Thanks,
Collie0 -

I buy Precision Engineered Protein from H&B, vanilla flavour. Currently £29.99  but they are bound to have a half price sale soon!

Eric means myprotein as in the site
I buy from myprotein too. I never get the flavoured ones as I find it unnecessary, I just get unflavoured and add to milk or say after a workout I want a quick boost of protein, I just put some in a glass of water. It doesn't taste amazing with water obviously, but not bad either. But with milk, it tastes absolutely brilliant.
This is the one I get: Clicky
I don't have protein shakes all the time though, which is bad as I don't always get my required amount of proteins from the food I eat especially after the workout sessions so must get back into it again.
Oh and always make sure you have one of them mixer bottles to ensure everything mixes correctly as otherwise you'd just get lumps.0 -

that is exactly what i use very high quality product, cheap in bulk and has no add bulking agents / vitamins etc, i dont mind the sucralose as its 99% inert to the body (ie 99% of it gets passed)
i like the vanilla
i make mine in a beaker with a bamix and aerating blade, it goes very thick and creamy and doubles in size

Morning everyone
I had a great weekend away at my friends birthday party. They hired a gymnastics gymnasium so I got to play on all the gym equipment. Including a bouncy castle and trampoline :j I had so much fun until I attempted to stop on the trampoline and get off. I somehow managed to go over on my ankle after getting my foot stuck down the edge.
So my big question should be after 2 days should I still be trying to rest it or should I try going for a run on it today ?
Vix - Well done on getting your start date. Did it feel good handing in your notice ?
