Um...I didnt say I didn't like to hear it-I said its a thing thats changed. If I realised Id get a lecture or be "yelled at" for admitting "past sins",I might not have mentioned it;)

I meant to say 'they most certainly do not' i.e. booze and weight loss most certainly don't go together. I wasn't referring to not liking to hear it!

  • Walked home from town this afternoon = 4.36 miles, and a MASSIVE [STRIKE]blister[/STRIKE] hole in my foot to show for it. I had to send my boyfriend out for those blister plasters because I was in absolute agony

fredsnail: east v west sounds good, I'm east coast of Scotland :D

And I don't mind what the challenge is, but would definitely like to join in with one!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :j

    Hey everyone!

Congratulations on the jobs Betty and Vix! :T

Good luck with getting your paintings into the exhibition Tagz! :)

Hello to all the new people! :hello:

Well I've not been around for the last few days but have been keeping up with my diet and exercise (been very good, apart from ending up in McDonalds on a day out - could kick myself, I don't even like the place!!!). I've got 31.3 km to add to the challenge so my total is now 79.4 km/49.3 miles.

I'm going to do a bit more more later as I'm below target, I'm also really determined to lose this week's gain - so not happy about it! There is also only 8 weeks to my holiday, so really need to get moving if I want to lose some more weight before then!

Vix How exciting!!! Well done again.

Hoping the run of forum luck continues. I'll find out this week if either of my paintings will be in the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy! THOUSANDS enter their work so not holding out much hope but I'm still getting worked up.

Went for a run this morning. Managed 7.2km but forgot to time us. Going for another little run tomorrow morning with another friend so hopefully I won't feel the loss of my crosstrainer for a few days. Just got to keep on plan foodwise!!!!

Have a good day and enjoy the sun if you can.

P.s Vix My avatar is of one of the paintings I've entered.

Oh looks lovely! Let us know if you make it in!

My hairdress is beautiful, 22, lovely wash board stomach, pert boobs, long straight immaculate hair, weighs less than a bag of sugar and is going on her hols in 5 weeks time.... chatting away it turns out that she hates her wobbly bits (you could not even pinch an inch!) she thinks her hair is too long and lanky and she can't do anything with it, her boobs are not big enough, her legs are not long enough, her arms are funny(?), she hates looking at her feet and never goes in either the pool or sea because she does not want to wear a bikini, take her clothes off...

I envied her, maybe she has a tadge too much fake tan on but to look at her you would think the lads would swoon over her, she has all her life ahead of her, if you got it flaunt it and it seems that she does neither has no boyfriend and has more hangs ups than me:eek:

Such a shame a young striking girl like that cannot see she is beautiful and work it girl not run herself down and all she has.

Oh and the best bit she is on a strict diet for the next 5 weeks and has taken up jogging so that she can loose at least half a stone and then not to flaunt it because she cannot bear to take her clothes off.

    Strange thing envy....

Is any woman totally satisfied with their body? I'm sure even Posh sometimes thinks she is fat!! :rotfl:

Most mums look me up and down and say they wish they had a body like mine (after 5 kids) BUT I wish my tummy was flatter :D

I despise people like that girl though. A lot of them do it for attention and will be like "i hate this and i hate that" And i just wanna say, "get a grip you absolutle LOSER" I know that type of person, and its the type of person i have absolutly no time for what so ever, because they are the most self centered people going. If you really hate yourself, you don't tell everybody about it because you're embarassed by yourself. Been there, worn the t shirt.

I may be wrong, but if any girl said that to me i would be like yea, jog on kitty. Tell someone who gives one. Girls have done this to me previously and i'm sat there fat as, and they're the size of a tooth pick. Now If i were in that thin persons shoes, would i not have the intelligence to see the fat person stood before me and to keep my mouth shut because the person in front of me is the one who really has something to moan about?

Ok i got that rant off my chest! haha. I needed that victory. Actually, its only now at 24 i'm just starting to get to terms with liking myself more. At 19 i wouldn't stand up in front of anyone at school, and that stupid hairdresser says all that crap? God i'm off again...ha.

I see - so it is because I have more to lose that I get more calories. Agree there should be a cut off, some people might take it seriously and try to live on 507 cals

generally there is, women should never go below 1200 cals a day and men 1600 (add up to 400 more if your more muscular / larger than average) to stop you going into starvation mode
